Rooney will be playing in the AHL or Europe after this season. Actually, he should've been there already before we signed him to that 2 year contract. I know he had a good stint after returning from injury last season but this guy was never good enough to stay in the NHL.

Somehow we're sitting in a playoff spot after 45 games with a bunch of games up on St Louis and still one game on Vancouver. I wouldn't have thought this.

I too don't understand Buffalo with guys like Thompson and Dahlin. Feels like those 2 and others took half steps backward last year and though Tage is having a decent season overall this year again it feels below where his ceiling is by quite a bit.

And as far as us, Wolf having a Calder-level season so far along with a Huberdeau rejuvenation and young guys like Coronato doing basically what we dreamed if not more seems to be getting us over the bubble hump for now. I know no one at Sports radio in Vancouver had us in a playoff spot by this time of the season.

My cup is feeling 9/16th full Flames, let's see if we can get it up to 5/8ths with a "we should win" game tonight.
