And next year, nobody the Sabres got will be playing for them. So Winnipeg wins the trade, no matter how much you wanna gloat.

That might be the silliest logic ever. The Sabres traded for the depth for the rest of this year and playoffs, and maybe a tiny bit of first crack at resigning. Your logic would indicate all sellers with rentals win every deal.

Stanley has been a pretty substantial upgrade to what Kesselring was giving this team. Stanley has added an element this team needed. Well worth the cost of a 2nd round pick (I dont even think Rosen stays in America next year).
Rosen will 100% be on the Jets next season.

I assume he is not waiver exempt and could be claimed. Otherwise, I wouldn't say 100%. He'll stay up no matter what because of risk of being claimed. But he gets maybe a year of grace on that and then the Jets will cut their losses. I think he'll score enough to stick. He was getting to the right spots more with Buffalo on last call up. His anticipation had improved and that's a big part of game.

I’m liking Rosen even if he isn’t putting up points, nobody on the Jets has been putting up points this year outside of the first line.

Getting rid of Stanley and Schenn has finally made us play Salomonsson who looks great and honestly makes me wonder if the Jets played him all year they very well might be in a playoff spot.

Rosen and Lambert bring some serious speed that this year’s team has been missing. They have shown flashes throughout on the same line. It’s only a matter of time before they put it together. Rosen had a great solo play tonight based on winning a footrace, easily could have been a beauty of a goal.
As a Sabres fan I agree. Rosen is a speedy skilled winger. He will find success once a line forms with complimenting skill sets forwards are with him. Effort and skill were never his problems, pecking order in the Sabres line up and pipe line were.

I’d wager that had our Sabres not gone on this tear for the season Rosen would have seen a good deal of NHL roster time. In time, if the Jets keep him, he will be a solid 2nd/3rd line tweener winger.

I`m hopeful for both of these players. I think Rosen flashes us some great speed and skill from time to time in a game. If he can start to show this more consistently (and we keep him away from the OAS line of Toews and Nyquist), I think the points will start to come.

I think Bryson was better than both...what depth have the Sabres gained??

Great goal by Rosen. The Jets gave up a goal right after this because Bryson fell over on a routine board play, giving the puck to the Hawks on a ridiculous turnover and creating a high-danger shot attempt that Hellebuyck couldn’t stop. Very high hopes for Rosen, and Bryson is as advertised.

schenn and stanley are crap

rosen and bryson had no place on the roster

if youre looking for a winner in this trade you should have higher standards for what you do with your life
I don't know if anyone is concerned about winning this trade. Both fanbases seem to be pretty realistic about what it was, and hoping that it was mutually beneficial. I hope Stanley and Pearson do well in Buffalo (Schenn is a lost cause), just like most Sabres fans seem to hope Rosen does well in Winnipeg (Bryson is a lost cause).

All the players suck. The 2nd was worth more. Thats where I stand.

In the end the trade is not a big deal and I am more disappointed with Jarmo not getting Parayko or someone better to help this team and its showing down the stretch.

Sort of makes WPG the winner by default then doesn't it, at least Rosen might turn into something and they got the picks whereas BUF will probably let Stanley and Schenn walk ASAP

Logan Stanley is one of the worst defensemen I've ever seen. Why he plays in anything other than low pressure situations is insane. He's literally the W-O-R-S-T defensemen to be playing when you are down a man. You need someone to be able to skate out of trouble and maneuver in tight spaces while thinking. Not fumble w/ ironclad boots around your skates. He has zero hockey sense. He seems like a lovely guy and I think 5v5 when in a simple move the puck fast within 5 seconds to a natural puck mover he's fine. But FFS, Lindy Ruff do not play this idiot on the PK.

Stanley has been hockey ebola, absolutely horrid. Schenn was so bad it took Lindy 2 games to give him a permanent seat in the press box. This was a disastrous a trade for us.

At least you didn't give up a 1st for Stanley like some of the rumours that had been floating before the deadline
