Lol ok bro, his offensive stats easily put him as a #2 center; not to mention obviously he's one of the best defensive forwards in the league.

First of all, “top 6 centre” is not defined by offence, it’s defined by ability to effectively play with and against top players and win those matchups.

Secondly, offensively Cirelli fits just under the bar for top 40 in points among centres this year.

If you don’t think he’s among the 64 best centres in the game that’s your call, but I doubt many hockey people would agree.

I was just suggesting the basis of a deal, but yeah I agree. This would be more complicated but make more sense for us.
