Sabres needed to make a change

Cozens was selected imo based on not sticking up for teammates

Cozens will do well in Ottawa. Buffalo has something bad in their locker room or coaching staff

On the bright side Norris is really positive and well liked in the locker room so there is no worry about him showing up and being negative.

Subtracting the zero-IQ play killing of Cozens should reverberate positive impacts throughout the lineup.

He played the game the wrong way the last two seasons. Maybe he can change that in Ottawa, maybe not.

But he was a truly infuriating player to root for.
I want to believe that but I said the same thing about Skinner for years and years and when he was finally jettisoned the collective IQ of the team was not measurably better. There's a lot of dummies out there.

Man, people are going to be talking those 9 bullshit hits forever. Hits are subjective stats recorded by the home team’s statistician. He skated into people 9 times. There’s was exactly one “hit” that even remotely impeded a Ranger. He was the same Cozens.

Cozens "hit" while he was in Buffalo too... I'm guessing whether or not they get recorded probably depends on how much you consider lightly pushing someone into the boards after they make a play, then falling over, as a hit.

Buffalo is still Buffalo, they're still going to get embarrassed more often than not and Norris wasn't gonna move mountains in his first game (especially when half the team is sick/injured and out or playing through it), but it's a shame his debut had to be against one of the best teams in the league. Get to listen to this the rest of the season now.
