I don't see him getting a 1-way contract next year. Unless we get some clarity on expansion, and a new team is coming sooner than we think, I can't see him sticking in North America.

He's one of those guys who is a star in every league except the NHL, so he would have his pick of where to go.

He's the definition of someone too good for the AHL but not quite good enough for the NHL. The game is too fast for him, especially since he was developed on his offside but he doesn't think faster enough to play that with the speed of the NHL and how fast and hard some teams can forecheck.

He had a few games in Ottawa where he had to play at wing because of cap constraints, and he looked really good. He is a gritty player who isn't afraid to get into dirty areas in spite of his size. I think he could have been a more valuable player if he embraced the possibility of forward.
