This Sabres fan does that deal in a heartbeat. Probably means Minny gets hosed some.....unless Trenin has been THAT bad for you guys.

Don't think you need to add a 2nd. Maybe something like a 4th or 5th plus Trenin.
Trenin for Greenway. We should just start trading for all our forwards again. Reaves. Sundqvist.

Trenin’s been bad. Lol

Bad in the sense that he's a liability, no

Bad in the sense that he's just almost completely useless, yes

He's just a net zero player. He's a warm body. He won't hurt but he doesn't help.

He also has an NTC or NMC so because of that it won’t happen! But doubt Bill Guerin is trading for Greenway who he traded away

He’s Greenway with an expiring contract.

Well Greenway is him with an expiring contract. Greenway is done after this season, Trenin has like 3 more. Hence the 2nd to Buffalo for taking it on. I wouldn't do it if I were them but maybe they think he can rebound into a useful player again.

What happened to him in the Wild? I always thought he was a good bottom 6 player, physical, decent defensively and versatile.

That why I'd ask for 26 1st....dont want dumps coming back

There is almost no offense to speak of, he looks completely inept in the offensive zone.

Defensively he's fine, again he's not a liability, he can play that role, he's just not an above and beyond player in any regard. He's not excellent defensively he's just solid.

Physicality isn't something I've noticed much of. There are times where it almost seems like he will avoid finishing a check when he didn't have to avoid it. I don't know why.

I never watched him before this season so I don't have a frame of reference for him. He's played on our PK some but he's not an integral part of it by any means. He's been tried up the lineup but he just doesn't bring enough to justify playing anywhere but the fourth line.

I wanna hang onto Greenway, I'm hoping some soft team in a playoff race gets a player ran and the GM hastily rushes out to pay a tidy sum for him....

***Checks Vancouver's schedule, sees they play the Ducks tomorrow.... ***

He's done poorly on Minny. Not sure that can be compared apples to apples with someone on Buffalo.
He hasn't been outright bad, just not impactful in the O zone and he is very noticeably the slowest player on the roster. If he and Pat Maroon switched jersey's I don't think many people would be able to tell the difference.

Greenway just makes no sense as the return target for MN regardless of perceived value, the GM traded him away when he didn't have to, I don't see what would change the idea that he wasn't a fit here long term from then to now.

So you've just described Zemgus Girgensons but slower. Still don't see the fit right now for Buffalo.
