Sadly I think everyone pictures him facedown in the 2013 playoffs too much and assumes that is representative of his body of work.

Just the ultimate professional. He played well for Detroit last year BUT he’s not someone you’re gonna ride for more than a couple of games.

That timely save still doesn’t come enough, but he’ll rarely lose you a game. He’s now a backup, you can have great confidence in, but come to understand, he’s just a backup no matter what. You’re not riding him for even 5-6 games. It’s why Alex Lyon grabbed that job last year. He can steal you 5 out of 6, or 8 out of 11 type runs. That’s just not who Reimer is now. But regular backup role? As solid as you can ask for.
