I foolishly regained some hope with that thrashing of NYI and solid beating of Chicago, but twas false. We can’t hang with actually good teams. I maintain the individual talent is fine, and I despised the Lindy hire from day 1. Back then I was angry- now I just feel bad. Tarnishing his legacy because you’re too damned cheap to hire a coach for the modern game, f*** Terry.

The fundamental problem is the roster being so poorly constructed that there isn't a coach alive who would be able to do anything with it.

Please explain what you feel is "hyperbole"? We are bottom of the conference and get run over/badly outplayed almost anytime we face halfway decent opposition. Multiple guys have looked absolutely horrible for well over a year now. We keep seeing every single mistake get repeated over and over with no indication anyone ever learns anything. Unless the guy can waive a magic wand and fix the countless roster deficiencies I really don't think there could be drastic improvement. Trotz was able to get blood from a stone on LI but that was a roster filled with vets and not struggling kids who've never played an NHL playoff game in their lived. Granted you could have a non idiot run special teams and that would help but you'd still end up getting sunk by the neverending catastrophic mistakes like the one by Quinn that sunk us last night.

Season is over , 3 L in row now and back to as before the 3 w. Then the last 25 games they play good when everyone else dont care and then we overpay them because of 25 games

Imagine if Quinn and Peterka light it up to end the season? lol. We're gonna be in cap hell without ever making the playoffs

I thought they played a solid game. Yes, UPL had to make a couple great saves but that's what goalies do sometimes. Dallas is a good team especially at home and we had several chances to pull ahead but failed to convert. Like someone said above this would be a respectable road loss if not for that horrific 13 game losing streak casting its dark shadow over everything.

Yep, Ruff 2.0 is just another yes man. On the day he accepted the coaches assigned to him that was obvious. Stlll better than so many other of our garbages but that says nada

How the heck did 3 games give you hope after losing 13 in a row there isn't a single good team out there that can lose 13 games in a row.

What a brutal turnover by Quinn on the Stars' 2nd goal. Quinn finds Robertson alone in the slot.

And on the 3rd, Bowen rims a blind backhand pass from behind the net right onto Harley's stick on the half-wall. The Sabres seem to do that often. One could argue that a forward should be there, but it's a stupid play if he's not.

Sometimes the best option is eat the puck and wait for support.

This team reverts back to bad habits, and is either too dumb to learn from them or doing it on purpose for various reasons.

Seeing people talking about this game as this great performance just makes me incredibly sad. We were pretty much dominated for most of the game, outshot 33-23 despite chasing the game most of the way with a scintillating total of 5 in the third, were conceding super high danger chances at an insane rate (the way multiple Dallas players would constantly close in on goal completely unimpeded was a sight to behold) and only in it late because UPL went Full Hasek. Other teams rack up Victory Victories while we just win glorious Moral Victories that show "things are improving" while in reality there is no improvement.

Braindead hockey, Thompson dumps it in, nobody there and Cozens is on the wall waiting for the puck to be cleared but the Dallas d just dusted it off and gets a clean shot on the empty net, f*** right off

Off course there wasn't anyone there, Thompson entered the zone first and by his lonesome. It was his puck to recover. But a different Dallas player held him up just long enough to interfere (but no call) so he couldn't get to it. That's DeBoer's style hockey.
