Was never a fan of Subban so have no issue here

Going to Buffalo is probably good for him with injuries they have had and such so he likely see's some games this year at some point

Talk about a lateral move....
Not better than what the Sabers already have.

He should be a clear upgrade on Aaron Dell, if he's not he'll be on the waiver wire within the month.

All we're looking for here is replacement level goaltending while we wait for Anderson to return. Dell has been..... bad. Tokarski has been very inconsistent. He'll look great one night and look like an ECHL keeper the next. It's been frustrating.

I find PK to be a really likable guy, at least off the ice. Hopefully Malcolm has a bit of that in him to help recoup whatever positivity has been lost in the last few weeks. Well, that, and not being a complete sieve.

Goalies are so unpredictable . Chicago track record of producing elite goalies is very strong. However you can bring a goalie up and he may have a exceptionally lucky season only to never again repeat or improve upon , then you find certain gems who become lights out year after year all star goalies.

It's been a very long time since the nhl as a whole has had numerous high end elite goalies playing.

I think if you step back and look at buffalo current standing there not making the playoffs so with that in mind why trade a asset or high pick for a high paid backup , the easiest route and least costly is exactly the route buffalo took.

Subban is just a stop gap in a season that is already decided.

....And Subban had to leave tonight's game with an injury in the middle of the 3rd after giving up 6.
