$200?! There's no way it costs that much to make it and there's no way that's the price point that would make them the most profit. Seems odd.
You basically have a cheap light that you can find for $29.99 and a WiFi connection which would retail for about the same $29.99. $60 dollars max is what this should retail at. At 200 dollars you're getting in tablet price territory. Why would this thing justify being close to the price of a tablet? Brutal.
There is more to it than that:
Light $30 per object
Wifi Connection $30 per object
R&D for Invention $100,000 once
Game spotters $40 average ticket * 1230 regular season game ~ $50,000 once
30 transmitters (1 for each spotter) $360
Wages for Budweiser Red Light Employees $200,000
total cost per red light expected to sell = $150
So as you can see, not a lot of profit built in.

I thought they used to only work in Canada?
They were only AVAILABLE in Canada. They have since extended availability this year.
As for everything else....
Bought mine right after the super-bowl commercial they used to announce it a few years ago. LOVE IT.
Sure it is a frivilous waste of money. But that is sports! Wife thought I was nuts...buddy thought I was stupid. Now my wife loves it, buddy bought one too.
Programmed it for the Olympics, World Juniors, Blue Jays in playoffs (weird hearing a goal horn go for a homerun).
When I was on satellite I used to have to pause the PVR a few seconds to sync it up. Now on IPTV I have to use the delay feature in the app.
And there has been times the thing reminded me of a game when I forgot by announcing from my mancave "5 minutes to gametime....why not grab some Buds". To which I instinctively pour a Crown and Coke instead
As for the argument going on about the cost of the light and cheap manual alternatives...to each their own. But I will spend the extra for cool.
It's cool but overpriced and Budweiser is garbage so no thanks.
13th in scoring so you should maybe watch some games![]()

Been meaning to look into these.. with Christmas right around the corner I'm certainly tempted.
I wish it went off for a little bit longer though.. seems kinda short.
I made my own. I got an old lamp, threw away the lamp shade, got a red light bulb. I just have to flick it on and off when my team scores and make the buzzing sound myself.
So there's a feature to adjust the delay time everyone seems to be complaining about? I just have regular old basic Comcast cable and just trying to gauge if there would be a delay for me or not. I've seen some videos with no delay and also some videos with quite a delay.
