My friend has one and I saw it live in action this weekend and its awesome! So I just spent $187 (including shipping) on it! Goes off right when they score a goal and adds more excitement to the room :handclap:

I made my own. I got an old lamp, threw away the lamp shade, got a red light bulb. I just have to flick it on and off when my team scores and make the buzzing sound myself.

I saw a red light in the Bruins ProShop for $75 (and they virtually always have some kind of sale if you're patient enough to wait for 2 weeks) that plays the goal horns for all 30 NHL teams. Here's the same horn on Fanatics - with their 20% sale, it's $60:

Here's another one for $48:

Yeah, you have to press the button to make the goal horn go - but I'll take the extra $100 and go to the Garden live a couple of times.

Also, the goal horn on the one I linked supposedly can be programmed to sound like the one at the Garden. Get your iPhone cued up to the right part of Kernkraft 400, and you're all set!

Is it really almost instant? I'd be a little skeptical of that, though the videos made it look like it went off immediately. I would love to have one if it really worked, though.

but you have to set it off yourself?

So its just a light with a recording?

no where near the same thing. I mean yeah the budwiser one is too damn much...
But it at least has value cause you just set it off to the side, and it goes off.

If you gotta go press a button... What your gonna watch games with your goal light in your lap pressing it in celebration? Your gonna do that twice. The whole season. And for $50, thats actually a way bigger waste.

Totally.

There's a remote for the ones I showed...and I figured the delay for the real light would be pretty significant - although the videos here show that that's not the case. (If there's a 5 second delay, you could always pause your DVR by 3 seconds - but then you run the risk of premature goalulation if the delay goes away.)

I also do have an attachment to hearing MY horn, as opposed to a generic buzzer....but I do have to say, the Budweiser Red Light does look cool! Surprised nobody else thought of it sooner....and I wonder how long it takes the NFL to copy something like this.

Can you make it light up manually? They have a disclaimer that it may eventually not be supported anymore and I would hate to spend all that money and have it be useless at some point.

They're great when they go off on time. A friend had one, and the goal didn't register until 2 AM.
