Not bad if that's our top six. Maybe we can talk Tank back into playing for us, he gets the sand outta his lady parts and comes back strong next year.

Or just dump Vladdy's Cap on somebody and re-sign Hoffman and Bozak.

If only it was Sanford instead of Blais
I know it is easy to rip on Sanford but his underlying metrics have consistently been better than Blais, Barbashev, etc.

Surely I'm not one to defend Sanford but he is decent depth winger for what it is worth.
Damn, i hope you’re right
Not gonna re-post the same pictures but basically, he's a top 50 player in the league and top 10 RW.

He was the driving force on the Kreider - Zibanejad - Buchnevich line for the last several years and is one of the best two-way wingers in hockey.

I am a really happy camper right now. The on ice performance speaks for itself, but I love hearing what a goofball Buch is and how he collects magnets (lolwut?).

If we can keep the AAV under $6 mill I'll be over the moon!

Congrats guys ! Buch was arguably our best forward this season, he really took a huge step forward this year and he added a solid two-way game to his already great offensive talent. He started to play a true 200ft game and can play in all situations, he's a bonafide first line player.

Sad to see my favourite Ranger leave and I hope Blais can add something different.....but the gut reaction is that this is a huge fleecing.

He's legitimately the funniest person in the NHL. I'm going to make a tribute video with a bunch of highlights, funny moments, etc I'll be sure to post it on your guys board when its done

Buch has boosted our spirits. He's in good hands.

Sammy is a great kid who came far. He plays hard, very hard. He makes up for skill with intensity and physicality.

I’m not as concerned about staying under 6 mill. I’d do a 6x6 right now. I’d even do I a 6.5 x6. We need to get this done. We need term

Please do!

FWIW Sammy Blais is easy to root for and a great kid/locker room guy. Worked his ass off from being a 6th round pick to making the NHL, gives 110% every shift and wears his heart on his sleave. Try not to hate him because he was in the return for Buch, Blais is a very likable guy in his own right!

Armstrong once again restores some faith in his process. Lots of works still to do. Love this trade hopefully he signs a good contract that leaves him happy and helps the team.

Well done Army. I know Tank is halfway out the door but did these 2 ever play together? Tank drafted in 2010, Buch in 2013.

They play the same position so it’s unlikely that they ever were on the ice together but I can’t find any Russian team that features both

When we drafted Blais, he looked like he was 12 years old. And he was tiny!

He deserves a lot of respect for making himself an NHLer. He has decent skill too.

Blais' hit on the boards in game 7 vs Boston led to the first goal of the game. We were being badly outshot at the time, and Blais' hit changed the game. A clutch play!

We may have to overpay a little to get him to sign a long term deal. But you have to get it done. He’s a cornerstone player that we need.
