Not even close, at least so far. Pirri >>> Lettieri
Oh I agree, but all the criticisms of Pirri, namely that he scores once a month and is useless when he's not scoring, are Lettieri to a tee.

But it really depends on how quickly it heals. If erring on the side of caution is letting him set another 2 weeks, and he heals very quickly, it might end up being closer to 4 weeks than 6. I agree they should be cautious, though.
True, but unless he's Wolverine, bones don't heal that fast.
I don't trust this organization to let him heal properly though after they tried to rush Shatty back for no reason what so ever last year before his knee told them to **** off.
Eh. I once broke my thumb just a few years younger than Buchnevich, and was told it would be 4 weeks, but it was healed 2 weeks later. It depends on the person. (Don't think that would be the case today, 15 years later)
If he's not, then send him down already.
I don't mean to make everyone uncomfortable, but he's a year away from being Puljujarvi. And we're doing exactly the same thing with Chytil that Edmonton did with Puljujarvi.
Sup Logan?
But in all seriousness, you also weren't a guy who played a contact sport professionally.
That sucks. Buchnevich looking like he just turned a corner. The one thing he'll be able to do anyway is be able to ride the bike and skate to stay in good shape.

Well at least you're not openly celebrating this one.
Just when he started to get his groove on....this guy can't catch a break...
Happened during a hit along the far boards in the offensive zone. Wasn't a bad hit, he just made awkward contacts with the boards. That sucks. Hope it didn't occur during that post whistle scrum.
Except for him being terrible and all. This is a great opportunity for Vinni Lettieri to take by the horns and become the top 6 six player he's always wanted to be.

Very doubtful. I broke my ring finger playing hockey in February, splint didn't come off for 6 weeks. Not all broken fingers are equal of course, but I would imagine the thumb, being a thicker bone, would take just as long if not longer.
Not to mention the months of phusical therapy to get up to strength after it being immobilized for a month and a half.
