another win against a playoff team. Laf almost had his 2nd when the puck bounced from behind the net. it's a shame he wasn't put on the 1st line when kakko was. the top line is now top 6 in xgf% with a minimum 150 minutes and the bread line with kakko had been that lines best combination.

Very good

Here is Donald

He's pissed that there was no instigator called on Schenn. As he should be.

BTW, if Nemeth's shot didn't hit Barbashev it looks like it might have snuck in the post. Or am I being too optimistic?

between the bodies in the way, and the players' being able to knock down the puck, these shots bank more likely than not tbh. A clear trajectory to the net gets knocked down easier than if Nemeth shoots it inaccurately and hits a guy that can't react and banks in

Honestly, it's not often that a team can self destruct like they did in the second and come out and still win the game in the third. They've come back all season but St. Louis is a very good team and it was just a painful 2 or 3 minutes, I thought the team would be demoralized.

Haven't you seen enough to know this team has brass balls?

Schneider plays RHD. Jones probably? maybe move everyone up on the left side and you get jones/schneider again.
Absolute 0 chance a stiff like Gallant runs Fox-Jones but that's a really sexy pairing on paper.

It's weird to see a -2 and goose-egg for Buchnevich tonight. I thought he looked really good. Could have had 2 or 3 goals to be honest. He's improved even more than how good he was for us last year.

Hockey professor

But we obviously shouldn't add at the deadline.
I think you can add without throwing all the chips in. a B prospect and a 2nd for a 3rd liner to solidify things and slide mckegg out of the lineup when everyone is healthy.
Shesty's numbers are what price put up last postseason when he basically willed the habs to the finals.
We're a far better team than that habs team.

Show the team that you believe in the core, that you think they're a solid contender, but that you dont need to go crazy. Cups aren't won on big moves, they're won on small moves that solidify depth.

Again, where is this selling the farm narrative coming from? Nobody here thinks that's a good idea.

Threw McKegg a vote. He may actually have been the best player in the bottom six tonight.
Chytil would like a word.
Mckegg is Mckegg.
Chytil had some really good shifts, he sadly plays with gauthier.
When he had panarin he got himself open, and had some chances.

Fox not really Foxy-like in this game and still manages 3 points. Simply amazing.

Hunt and McKegg get so much hate on here, we get it, you don’t like them, these guys are what they are. When Kakko returns these guys will drop lines..

I mean theres alot of talk about scheifele, miller, etc.
When we lose, we bitch and moan and talk about how we need to tear down the core.
When we win, its touch nothing.
