Evans still produces like a top player at his position and blocks. Stamkos is an one trick pony at this point and isn't good 5v5 this year.

Turns out Evans’ agent misstated the contract. $11 million of it is incentives and escalators, so the real value of the contract is actually $41 million with $29 million guaranteed

Now that is more in line with a 31 year old who wanted to stay put in a state with no income tax

I'm honestly surprised Evans re-signed, especially after his agent said he wants to play for a SB contender with an elite QB. We aren't one and we don't have one, even if Baker re-signs. He must've really wanted to stay but I think he's crazy, the Chiefs were rumored to have interest and clearly they're a much better team with arguably the best QB in the league.

Could you imagine this in the NHL? Cooper hops the bench, JBB repels down from the press box and Vinik drives his yacht straight onto Amalie. An entire front office, coaching staff, the scratches, everybody huddling around.....

.... just to do nothing...
Taylor Swift lands her jet on the field....

This Pepiot kid is pretty impressive. 11K's in 6 innings. Another diamond from the rough, a gift from the Dodgers?

2 early morning playoff games this weekend for me out here on the west coast. Saturday for the Magic, Sunday for the Bolts.

2nd time the Magic have played the Cavs in the playoffs. I sure remember the 2009 ECF fondly.

Tampa, FL.
Bucs had a whale of a draft. I am very happy
They addressed a lot of needs, but I was hoping they'd draft at least one cover corner with one of their first 4 picks. They had some chances to get a good one a couple of times, but I guess they feel okay with McCollum and Hall on the other side opposite Dean. They have a pretty good safety group as well, so hopefully that will help as well.

Man they better be dead ass about building all those neighboring businesses because it has literally never worked in St. Pete since 1998. To say I am both skeptical and terrified is an understatement. The Rays by themselves have never attracted enough interest for anyone to come out beyond that first year. Even Yankee and Red Sox games don't even sell out. The only prayer this team has in St. Pete is if you have thousands of people already crawling around at the malls, restaurants, bars and movie theaters and say "Hey let's go to the game!" and your figure of 15,264 like it was this afternoon on a Thursday is maybe more like 18,500 like it was at every Lightning game in 1995.

Yeah it's not that good but it's not 7,000 people vs Minnesota when you're 18 games over .500 and that legit happened like last year

Dudes, dudettes and identities of all reaches. Getting permission from MLB to put "St. Pete" on the uniform is not the flex you think it is. We're a combined metropolitan region of 3 million people spread over 2 cities exactly like Minneapolis and St. Paul known as the Tampa Bay Area. Neither city is large enough to deserve their own distinction on a jersey exactly like us and that's why it's always "Minnesota" Once we are the same size of the "Bay Area" of Oakland and San Francisco, we can talk individual branding. Spoiler: St. Pete is maxed the f*** out and will never get any bigger

*sigh* the Rays aren't doing shit, the Lightning have been dropped in the 1st round twice and who knows about the Bucs. I might have to change my username if things don't get better in a hurry

AlwaysSunnyInTampa you are dangerously close to coming back

The Rays are f***ing broken. I am not exaggerating, this has to be the 10th time we've taken a shortstop with our 1st pick since at least 2008
