This is my latest longform piece, I posted it on the Avs and Habs pages but not here. This is Bryan's Song about about the career and life of Bryan Fogarty....a generational talent who played a generation too soon.
Fogarty played briefly for the Penguins in 1992-93. Feel free to comment on the post or here...

I don't know if he wouldn't be afflicted by substance abuse had he come up at this time. I also don't know if he would have stayed on the good side of the boom-or-bust-offensive-defenseman equation.

But I think the juxtaposition (it's always a good week when you can write the word juxtaposition) of junior hockey like 30-40 years ago being a bunch of high school juniors getting sh1tfaced, versus a professional training ground today is interesting.
