He took his name out of Chicago's search all of a sudden, hoping Trotz called him lol. Maybe Pittsburgh called him. If you're a college coach which pro team would you take of the available optionsAs much as I’d like to see Carle take the Nashville job, that guy basically has his choice of coaching job. I highly doubt he would want to coach this Charlie Foxtrot of a roster.
I’d go for Anaheim. Lots of young talent. He took his name out of Chicago's search all of a sudden, hoping Trotz called him lol. Maybe Pittsburgh called him. If you're a college coach which pro team would you take of the available options
All he's got to do is call Karl and say, go kick ass in the playoffs, when you're done, you've got a job in Nashville next year if you want it.Coaches fired so far
Ducks
Rangers
Bruins
Penguins
Kraken
Flyers
Blackhawk
I feel like we will be stuck with Bruno because Trotz won't be able to get the coach he wants with openings on higher level teams or teams that have a better short term outlook.
Exactly. My guess is they are waiting to announce a new coach when a team gets eliminated from the playoffs. At the NHL or AHL level. The longer this drags on the more it's going to be strange they don't fire Bruno. How do you return and say, well we thought about it for 3 weeks and we think we have the right guy?
No, but my assumption has been that unless Trotz can find someone that he considers to be the right fit, he's just going to run with Bruno again next season. He can't unring the bell if he goes ahead and announces that Bruno is gone.Do we historically need to have the hire in place to announce the firing? Do other teams operate that way?
A bag of chips would do a better job than Bruno at this point so fire him and take your chances on finding a replacement. There are choices out there. No, but my assumption has been that unless Trotz can find someone that he considers to be the right fit, he's just going to run with Bruno again next season. Agree with this. We just had one of the worst seasons in franchise history. If Trotz only has a short list of guys he thinks are "upgrades" then he's doomed anyways and we should go ahead and toss him as well. I think I'd try anyone with a pulse who has any sniff of experience to at least see if there is an improvement at this point. I would happily let Karl Taylor give it a whirl before I sent Bruno back out there.A bag of chips would do a better job than Bruno at this point so fire him and take your chances on finding a replacement. I don't disagree, but just trying to think like GMBT.A bag of chips would do a better job than Bruno at this point so fire him and take your chances on finding a replacement. There are choices out there.
Team doesn't have enough speed to do what Bruno wants to do and frankly I'm not sold any team does, especially on the defensive side. Yeah you may have certain lines or even certain pairings on some teams that could, but for the team as a whole I don't see it.At only 6 points over this season, did Nashville have a rolling 10 game point % that was at or better than what was needed to get into WC2. This is a system issue and a team issue. The team may or may not be fixable as is without throwing in the towel and rebuilding. That much is subjective. The system is easier to fix
Now 8 coaching vacancies. Unconscionable that Trotz would think we are good on the coaching front.Tocchet out in Vancouver.
No better day to fire a coach than a Tuesday
How does Wednesday look?
Trotz is just pulling a Hynes here. If he was going with Bruno next season, he would have already met with the media and given us all of the next year will be better cliches. I think he is either waiting for Taylor's season to be over or is actively searching right now. Even if he doesn't get his guy and Bruno ends up back next season, he is still stringing Bruno along just like he did Hynes. Reminder that Hynes wasn't fired until May 30th.They actually mentioned on the radio this morning something that was slightly negative towards Trotz which is rare. The point was basically he should have been evaluating Bruno all year, and especially since Thanksgiving when the playoffs were out of reach, and for sure when we were officially eliminated. They said it's concerning this process is taking such a large degree of evaluation to determine an answer, from Trotz's perspective. So even the NASHVILLE media is starting to see the cracks in the armor.
