From your lips to God’s ears.Is it possible the guy is Taylor and he's waiting until after the AHL playoffs?
BT: Says here that most of the guys consider you a lovable clown. Funny. But an idiot. [pause] What should we do about that? After the exit interviews he could be sitting down with bruno to address specific feedbacks and how he plans to rectify those specifically
This doesn't seem like a Trotz coached team at all. Bruno wants a frenetic aggressive approach on both ends of the ice--high event hockey, lots of turnovers created in their end of the ice, lots of scoring chances. Trotz was much more defensively structured, forechecking was heavy, but systematic, offense focused on high percentage possession, cycle, and recovery with situational defense activation. He wanted tough to break down defensively, safe on the offensive side.Any coach for the Preds is an Ass’t Coach; retained or a new hire. Get used to that. Trotz is totally in control.
Ok, if you don’t think Trotz is “coaching” this team I’m ok with that. This doesn't seem like a Trotz coached team at all. If the team was playing his systems and structures I might buy it, but what they are trying to do isn't even remotely close to that.Ok, if you don’t think Trotz is “coaching” this team I’m ok with that.
I dont think so. We want Taylor for years now, and i don´t think Barry is the one gift us this guy. I swear, he still think Bruno is a good coach. Is it possible the guy is Taylor and he's waiting until after the AHL playoffs?
Can't really pop a blood vessel when the team doesn't play defense. If the team was playing his systems and structures I might buy it, but what they are trying to do isn't even remotely close to that.
I honestly can't believe he hasn't popped a blood vessel watching this team play defense.
I think Trotz's job, as he sees it, is to go to the grocery store and buy boxes of generic spaghetti, jars of Ragu, some superfine Parmesan dust in a plastic can, a couple overpriced organic tomatoes, yesterday's old loaf of bread (which tasted great—yesterday) and bring them to Bruno.Ok, if you don’t think Trotz is “coaching” this team I’m ok with that.
He's a perfect fit for the job. Someone who can torpedo his own ship and make it fun. He’s not getting fired is he.
The longer this goes the higher the chance he gets fired is the way I see it.He’s not getting fired is he.
Maybe. Trotz may be waiting for someone's playoff run to end before blowing the bridge. Or he could be completely content to give his coach many more years to figure out which end of the hockey stick is which. The longer this goes the higher the chance he gets fired is the way I see it.

Maybe this time he can wait and pull the trigger even closer to the draft. Give it a feel more like the Roadrunner pulling one over on Wile E. Coyote. He waited a bit on Hynes so we can only hope this means the same thing.
At the same time, I see Trotz as sympathetic towards coaches and I think if he were going to fire Brunette, it would have happened already or would very soon to give Brunette the best chance at finding another coaching job with another team that already fired their coach.Optimistically yes. If they're retaining him, why wouldn't you get ahead of that story ASAP and put it to bed? Then again, maybe that's giving the organization too much credit for being competent.
He's going to have to be assistant again before he gets another head coaching gig.At the same time, I see Trotz as sympathetic towards coaches and I think if he were going to fire Brunette, it would have happened already or would very soon to give Brunette the best chance at finding another coaching job with another team that already fired their coach.
Yeah, the only person dumb enough after this season to hire him as a HC just happens to be the same person too dumb to fire him. He's going to have to be assistant again before he gets another head coaching gig.
We're adjustment challenged as an organization.Yeah, the only person dumb enough after this season to hire him as a HC just happens to be the same person too dumb to fire him.
As much as I’d like to see Carle take the Nashville job, that guy basically has his choice of coaching job. I highly doubt he would want to coach this Charlie Foxtrot of a roster.David Carle on any bingo cards ?
No, he's staying. The only legitimate reason I can think of for waiting is to see the playoff shakeout, but that's doubtful. He’s not getting fired is he.
