Haha nice someone needs to make that a gif.
Louie in one series this year has contributed more then Seguin did in the entire cup run to the finals last year.
Trade is a win win and someone needs to let it go.
It's kind of funny to visit their board and see them writing so many of the same things we were writing last year. "He's playing great, making plays, opening up lanes, the goals will come", etc., etc. Everyone still thinking he'll break out, just a matter of when it happens. Maybe he will, just don't know if it's going to be this year. I still think they are ignoring the fact that he scored almost 80% of his goals this regular season against non-playoff teams. I wish him well, and think in the long term he'll have a very successful career. Just isn't there yet to be a difference maker or ready to carry a team on his shoulders.
who`s Seguin??
That guy you told us would be golfing right now
who`s Seguin??
Hey, I`ve come on and admitted my wrongs but one thing I haven`t been wrong about....his game when it counts
If he proves me wrong again, I`ll come on here and do exactly what I do when I`m wrong, admit it and not hide, take my interwebz lumps
Did I accidentally wander into the Loui Eriksson thread?
Haha, still very young. I was impressed with his work down the stretch to push Dallas to a playoff spot....and he's certainly been very noticable for them in game which is a step up from last year.
I come to boston every couple of years so a round at sullys would work for me
I wouldn't mind betting around drinks, although I live far enough from Boston that this is a day trip for me.
It's all very amusing that one goal from Loui validates this trade for some of you. Even more amusing that most of you whining about the topic will actively click on the title of a topic all about that trade just so you can bemoan having to read it. Internet 101- you decide what you read, you decide where you go.
But I'm willing to go with it and enjoy the rest of the playoffs, unless for some reason he becomes a goat. We have bigger things to worry about next round than whether or not Loui is worth the price of his skates, right? We're about to play Canada's pro-diving team. Should be entertaining.
Not to turn it too much into a you-know-who thread but I think he's grown leaps and bounds. He's going to be fine, he will produce in the playoffs for sure. I think the trade was pretty much the kick in the *** that he needed, and when you combine that with just growing up physically I feel he will be a perennial all star. He clearly didn't fit in here and that's fine. I don't miss him but I do love seeing him play when I can.
i think there's a good chance this will be the only year that "kick" has any effect. he may get more effective simply as a result of getting older and more experienced, but he'll likely never be more motivated (meaning willing to go out of his comfort zone), and the pressure to perform in the playoffs will build each year that goes by. this year it was all gravy - little pressure, lots of motivation. next year, not so much, year after that, "maybe this isn't going to work after all" starts to creep in. the act gets old. too many bad habits, not a willingness to correct them.
