Seguin certainly isn't the only sniper who is struggling.. But at least he's helped the Bruins get a couple extra points in the shoot out. He's had some beautiful set ups too that Marchand and Bergeron haven't been able to bury as well.

I'm still not worried about him but I hope he snaps out of the funk quick all the same.

Its not like he is floating, he has had chances, it was 4 mounths of Olympic ice and soft defences, its going to take time, he sniped the tor goalies but it hit the stick knob on a PP chance.

I thought it was one of his better games so far. But still not great.

If Marchand misses time then he has to step it up.

I'll take the break too. They're a bit banged up.

Nice win. Back on top of the conference. :)

That is true. If there's going to be a long break, now's the time.

Can't have 3 of our forwards knocked out. Hopefully Marchy just needs some rest and it isn't too serious.

On a separate note, did anyone even hear Tardiff's name tonight? Besides the first 5 minutes of the 1st, he was completely invisible...

I was impressed with the Bs effort tonight. This was their 4th game in 6 days and they really hustled.

People seem to forget this.

I am angry that we have to wait til Wednesday, but I am sure the players are psyched.

Oh and Tuukka played nice, although I am not convinced he was overly challenged.

Boychuk had some great plays and Soup was a beast.

Is it just me or are the refs really bad this year ?

I usually think it is lame to blame them but they seam to be terrible of late

All in all, I thought the boys did a decent job tonight. Leafs had won a couple in a row and were hungry to get that 6-0 monkey off their back from last season.

The D was, for the most part, positionally sound, more-so than last game. They had their offensive chances, and Reimer came up with some solid saves. But hey, pitching a shutout with two (now three) of our regulars out of the line-up? On the road? I'll take it.

4 games in 6 nights with 6pts is quite amazing considering the frantic start of the first two weeks.

Now a timely 3 day reprieve before the 1st battle with the hated Habs.

Nothing like a solid, lunch pail win to put things back in perspective. Hopefully some of the fans with weaker constitutions will take note.

I think if our players stay within the system, it should not result in overly challenged situations.
Also like that Z was kept to under 22 minutes... well earned 3 day break to heal some bumps and bruises

You have to remember that they were in a sense locked out with the players.

Plus they didn't have any exhibition games to get their legs back and their game eyes and whistles working.

Well said man.

They played a stinker the other night. Lost as a team. Tonight they pulled together and worked and ground it out. What more can you ask after 4 games in 6 nights.

And as or this we are vulnerable and targets.......hogwash nuckle dragging bull sheet.

I think the refs have been horrible. There really are no words to describe just how bad they have been.

I don't think this is blaming losses on the refs, they have been bad in Bruins games and non Bruins games. Shoot I think the blew several calls last night (the no call on the elbow and the awful 5 and a game for Backes).

My hope is that Pie will be back for the Habs and even more so that Marchand will be back.

If Marchand is done, makes me think they will call for Spooner and shift somebody from center to wing (Pevs maybe).

Good game by the Bruins. Krejci had a good night. Leafs are lucky to only lose 1-0. Leafs' offense non-existent and had to rely on Reimer to make the game look close.

While Reimer played well, he did not keep the leafs in the game. The Bruins did not really challenge him all that much. Most of the quality chances that the Bruins had were pretty much wasted as the shots were kept low or put right back into Reimer's gut. The laws of physics dictate that a puck that is shot will not go through goalie pads.

Reimer was very well positioned and that is the main thing a goalie must do to achieve success. He did spend a bunch of time down in the butterfly though and left openings up high. The Bruins needed to get their shots up, but they didn't.

Reimer, Rask and Bourque are the three stars.

I won't argue, but my stars would go to Rask, Boychuk and Soup-mostly because they all played full out hard tonight and Soup had an awesome PK in the 3rd.
