The Bruins won't address coaching until the season is over and see who might be available.

My gut feeling is they want Mike Sullivan or even Peter Laviolette

Marchand being traded could help - if the plan is to re-sign him in the offseason and use the 1st he returns to help the team. Win win for Marchand. If traded and finishing career elsewhere that would be a sour outcome on his career.

I am playing devil's advocate here.

NOT trading Brad and then seeing him go elsewhere and getting NOTHING back would be worse and remember that is exactly what happened with Chara.

Just a gut feeling..His buddy Bergie retired playing entire career with Bruins so I am sure he would like that also , Brad already showed how much he cares for Boston taking less on last contract. Its an insult even asking him but hey ,after what they been doing to him you might be right.Just my opinion

They don't have to ask him if it's not a team on his list. This is a business, not a peewee league. Trading him for 2 months to contend for a Cup isn't the same as being sent to a last place team in a non-hockey market and it's not an insult.
