The only bright spot that could possible help a little is the cap going up a significant margin. Just worried they will spend it unwisely at this point though

Sacco is a place holder, his job it get through the season and thank you for filling in. Brad's a HOF'er and is 37 yo.

Benching him is a clown move, Want to be a hero coach? scratch Coyle Monday. Otherwise just stand there until the seasons over and take the idiots that are"coaching" with you when you get canned.

..and Coyle looking up at the clock waiting for the Sens to score, instead of checking the shit outta them to get the puck out of the zone made me mad

..out of all the Bruins yesterday, Coyle pissed me off the most

Bruins were 12 seconds away from a gutsy win

I may be way off here but what has more impact on a team, a coach benching a player like Coyle or Freddy or Carlo or benching the most outspoken and captain of the team.

I feel Sacco and the CS made a attempt to get the teams attention by benching the leader of the team . Will it work or will it blow up - remains to be seen.

He benched Pastrnak already, no?

Feels like he is trying to be Cassidy but not nearly the coach Cassidy was flaws aside.

You can blame the coach if you want, but now on 3 coaches in that last 4 years. hmmmmm, Just maybe the blame game should be going somewhere else. Oh ! before I forget, has anyone seen our GM ?

After the Bruins lost the game that knocked them out of playoff position, Sacco said Marchand wasn’t injured.

“No, he wasn’t hurt, no. Nope,” he said.

Was it a coach’s decision?

“Yeah.”

For now, that’s all that they’ve made public and a team that doesn’t need a distraction, opened itself up for a big one.

Sacco is an economic speaker. Perhaps to avoid talking himself into trouble the way Jerod Mayo often did, he usually doesn’t say a lot more than he has to.

But speculation will fill this void — on social media and certainly on sports radio — until Sacco or Marchand clears it up. If there’s a good reason or at least a reason Marchand didn’t play, Sacco would be wise to volunteer it quickly and get out ahead of it. Maybe he and Marchand have already cleared the air. Maybe Marchand agrees with him. There’s missing information. The Bruins would be smart to get facts out before the rumors start.

Honestly, Miller could be a player who could help this team, but the cost would hurt this team in the long run.

I could understand sitting him if he was injured but "a coaches decision" to sit one of the few forwards with the potential to score 3 on 3 while Charlie Coyle -who had a much worse game- sees the ice, is at best baffling

Add that this is your Captain and a future retired jersey wearer and I have to think there is more to this story.

If the coach benched Brad and Brad wasn't injured I say BYE BYE to the coach.

NO ONE works harder than Brad Marchand.

Terrible message to send.
