IMO , yes.
They’re fortunate it’s NFL Divisional Playoffs; typically considered the best weekend in sports all year.

They already fired the coach.

Now they blow a 2 goal 3rd period lead and the interim coach benches the captain.

Jaffe was killing Swayman for shooting for the empty net and failing to clear the zone.

This is critical mass. They’re on the outside looking in.

Let me get this straight, the Bruins are fighting for a wild card spot, and Sacco decides to not play his 2nd best scorer in OT or in the SO. What a genius move.

The game was entertaining for fans, but another brutal loss for Bruins fans. I am all in for the retool, rebuild & sell at the deadline. Geekie really stood out to me tonight, thought he worked his butt off. Swayman stopped 40 shots until the Sens pulled their goalie. He was great again.
But even though both Bruins & Celtics on our mini-vacation, I enjoyed watching them immensely. ✌️

Well, Saveman had about as much of a chance of putting the puck in the empty net as anyone else on this team.

Yup. We’re done here. Look to next season.

No coming back from this shitshow.

marchand w

marchand was garbage all game long. i dont disagree with sacco
It’s a bad message and it’s obviously a coach trying to send a message, problem is Marchand wasn’t the only Bruin wha wasn’t at the top of his game and he’s more than earned a pass. Especially in a game where points really matter. Just the wrong time, IMO.

He decided to reward Charlie Coyle after all of his **** ups.

Game was over , we stink , I left the house to go to the pub for a few , just got home, TV remote was in the corner on the carpet … now I’m angry again . Damn this team . They Charlie Brown’d me again with the football . Never again … at least not this season with this mess . Very few positives .

Didn't realize we are at game 81 or 82. If you want to bail on this team now, go for it, but I don't care what they look like, I will believe they have a chance to be in the playoffs until they are eliminated. They have had uglier seasons than this and no one was jumping ship.

Like I said, if you or anyone else wants to jump ship, I'm not going to stop you.

Keep up the physicality and defense of teammates and even if losing I will be proud of the team. The attitude the last few games is refreshing.

The rest of the issues are on the GM and roster building.
Agreed. Players putting up some fight and the games have been fun to watch.

This roster has many gaps - more than can be addressed this season. So don’t get crazy Don. We more sell than buy. That said there are so many teams on cusp that smart GM could go a long way to helping a retool if he plays his cards right.

they will not retool or rebuild even if they are out of the playoff picture. As long as they are within 10pts of a playoff spot they will either stay pat or dumpster dive for a player. They will not sell off any players if they believe they somehow could compete for a playoff spot. Neely was pretty clear about saying he doesn’t want to hurt their chance at a playoff spot even with a retool.
Neely is a moron if he is thinking about dealing away more assets on this.

My mind continues to be blown we can never score with our goalie pulled yet Ottawa looks like an Allstar team when they do and it’s not even Ottawa we’re just that bad and honestly it’s happening to often when we have the lead Socco Kelly and Leach should’ve packed there shit with Monty now we’re stuck in this awkward spot.

I truly believe the players are to be blamed to along with management but the bench coaches have lost my confidence stupid dump and somewhat chase after we lead or this terrible PP and don’t even get me started on the defensive coverage..

The way this is going they’ll probably sneak into the playoffs and win a couple rounds somehow. What a weird shitshow of a season. I hope they make a good old fashion hockey trade and shake up this roster a bit.

Kasper leaves Neely on the bench

During his brief tenure as coach of the Bruins, Steve Kasper managed to accomplish the feat of bringing power forward Cam Neely almost to tears.

Neely, along with teammate Kevin Stevens, dressed for a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs in January of 1996 as if it were any other game. The difference on that night was the club's leading scorer was stapled to the bench for the duration of the match by the first-year head coach.

After the game, Kasper said he felt the decision was going to give his team the best chance to win and that he wasn't trying to embarrass anyone. Neely, however, was clearly distraught:

If (Kasper) thinks I'm not good enough to play on this team, to help the team win a hockey game, that's his decision and his opinion. But I know that my opinion doesn't mean much to him. ... I've been here nine and a half years. I've been through a lot. I've played through a lot and, to be be treated like that, it's tough.
Kasper was fired by the Bruins after the team failed to make the playoffs in 1997 and has yet to be given another opportunity to coach in the NHL. Neely was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005 and was named Boston's team president in 2010.
