Post-Game Talk: Bruins @ Rangers 01/23/13 "Gabotrick Edition"

Why is biron on the poll and lol at someone voting for him

I feel like we seriously need a good forward on the second line because stepan/cally/random forward seem to just lack the creativity to create chances...

Are things a bit better tonight in Ranger Land? Have no fear. When things click, and oh they will click. Were gonna be an unstoppable force. LGR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, as great as Nash, Richards and Gaborik playing together is, they just can't roll with that all the time. Need other lines that can score.

Did someone really vote for Kreider in the poll?

The Good:

The obvious...

The bad:

forget about everything except for the faceoffs, bad changes, and some sloppy passing...if this gets fixed...so will everything else. The Rangers bad changes cost them more than three times tonite one of which led to a goal.

The flat out atrocious:

The powerplay...or in this case...what passes for a powerplay.

Thought Emminger played well too and Stralman had a pretty strong game, Torts needs to trust them some more

Real intense game though so I can see why Torts was shortening his bench

Stralman is a keeper. Long term part, IMO. He really is a solid and unsung player. He should be on the point in the top PP unit, I don't think there's another player on the roster better than him at keeping the puck in the zone at the blueline. He has a knack for preventing the pick from clearing the zone.

If Bickel can be on the poll, Biron can be on the poll.

This sums it up for me basically, my god the rangers need to learn how to make a proper line change. This is something that should not stand out at all for an NHL team yet I feel like multiple times in the past 2 games I've seem myself cursing the team for their sloppy changes.

I thought the 2nd line looked good with Pyatt, honestly.

Cally's forechecking on his goal is how it got started, Stepan found some room, and Pyatt slammed the rebound.

Stralman is the only Dman with a hammer from the point. Low, and hard. It would be nice to have one more guy who A) has that kind of shot, and/or B) will use it.

Really liking that Nash, Gabs and Richards line.

Nice job Gaborik! :handclap::yo::amazed::naughty:;) Really happy for him, the team and myself.

Cally looked out of place tonight and Stephan...I don't know, he;s not doing it for me. Especially with Cally, didn't like it.

I liked what i saw tonight, building off tonight is key, shot blocking was back, looked much better.

The infamous FLOWERPLAY

Is going to find himself replaced very shortly if this keeps up. Hope was that he would elevate his poor play from Hartford and that has not happened as of yet.

Wish Hrivik was healthy. Maybe we get a couple game look from Miller to see if they want to burn a year on him or not.

Miller's contract burns a year regardless.

Yourself? lol.

me too. I was happy when the lockout ended and saw hockey as an excuse to be happy.

Cally & Step seems to be guys who are in a fog. It's the end of game three of forty eight. The team is slowly coming out of it. They'll be okay. Step showed some flashes of goodness early.

Let's look at this positively for a second...

Yes there's still holes and no it's quite there yet, but even with that we still just beat the Bruins.
