Yeah it’s hard to root for them to lose personally even though I know it’s best for the team long term.

Several years ago, the problem was blowing leads in big games. It cost them a playoff series or 2.

Then a few years ago, the problem was still blowing leads, but also sucking in OT/SO and giving away critical points a bubble team needs (missing the playoffs by a game with double digit OT losses).

Then a couple years ago the problems (compiling) were blowing leads, sucking in OT/SO, and suddenly they have a trend of giving up a goal immediately after scoring one.

And now all the former problems still exist and also they give up the first goal on the first shot at an unprecedented rate....

Like... Just... How has it gotten so bad?

Made the mistake of listening to DK a few days ago. He warned pens fans that they should not wish to go down the tanking route. “Just look at Chicago”

You’re right, it’s better that they win a few games and pick 11th in the draft every year rather than tank and get an instant impact player

I think it's funny he thinks the Penguins are tanking.

This is Sullivan legitimately trying to coach a team to win by not making any of the changes to his philosophy and player usage to actually accomplish it. The only positive is that it helps the Pens stock up a prospect pool that desperately needs it and after this draft coming up, his work should be over and get fired.

I should try to watch every Pens game, it seems like they only win when I watch the highlights. But can they please make the losses a bit more entertaining? Watching this power play was a cruel and unusual punishment - and I even fast forwarded like three quarters of it.
