Marchand seems like a guy who's perfect for having an A on his jersey and being a veteran voice in the locker room but not a great choice for Captain.

He just seems too immature and unprofessional to be the leader of a team. I know he's a hard worker and devoted to winning, and I assume he's a lot different with his teammates than with opponents. But after the Bruins had Chara and Bergeron as Captains, he seems like a veritable downgrade.

And I'm sure there are numerous reasons the team is struggling (including the fact that the roster simply isn't that great), but I'm not surprised the Bruins are coming apart while he's leading the charge.
