Bruins locker room rift between Pastrnak and Marchand?

That's overall pretty minor or, rather, very manageable, IMHO. Little rifts like this will happen over the course of a season and ones like this are easy to develop when the team isn't playing well and not winning as much as they would like.

They'll get past it.

I'm not so sure.

They are in a precarious spot in the playoff race, have dropped two in a row, and sport the worst goal differential in the entire Eastern Conference. I feel like a distraction is the last thing they need right now, if this story has any legs. They need to dial in. Then again, if there's one team that can do it...

Amazing how fragile these athletes are. Years and years of winning and successful individual and team based seasons, and all it takes is a few bad weeks for the wheels to fall off completely. No wonder they crumbled in the first round after a 135 point season.

Bergeron retires and the B's team first mentality went with him. Damn.
Actually kind of hate to see it. As much as I disliked the Bruins when my team played against them, I admired how cohesive they were.

I know Bergeron retired because he was more or less at peace with his career, but I wonder if there were cracks that led to him doing so when he could very clearly still play at a high level.

After the McAvoy contract, that team is cooked. As shown by Pastrnak and the goalie. They lost their competitive advantage and now are just like everyone else, selfish leaders that aren't pulling their weight. Marchand should get out while he can if he wants any more team success.
