Feels like years since they've played the Bruins and after tonight don't see them again until late March.

Campbell back in goal and I'd expect no other lineup changes from Thursday.

NHL Game Page

Early season big 4 point game.
Leafs are currently 2nd while Boston is 5th in the Division, playing 3 fewer games though.

These games are important. Also a good measuring stick for us.

So far the last 4 games we are finding our groove. Tampa was a good tight hockey game, but would of been a different story if it weren't for Campbell (mind you the games we lost this season their goalies usually stole the show too).

I wantnusbto keep improving and keep showing bite. I suspect (and by suspect I mean hope) things get chippy against them, to show we are a harder team to play against...

We got Bunting who will pest it up, and Simmonds and Richie there to back him up (I want to see more fight from Richie to atleast establish a role in this team if he's not going to be in the top 6).

Hope they continue to show improvement, this is going to be a long season and everyone is waiting to actually see a more dependable team for playoffs (If they get there)

hopefully they take inspiration from the win against Tampa and a great goalie.
They need to learn they have to play from the drop of the puck for a full 60 minutes.
While that was always a big issue it seems lately that they've started on time. Consistency is the key though.

Big game. Boston always seems to remain competitive. f***ing hate them... but no doubt about it they find a way to keep being good.

I'm interested to see how Ullmark can do. Seems he's had a good start but I don't think he's anything special. Rask was usually always good against us too.

Leafs have been good at making all the goalies look like all stars so far though.

Chara is gone now, and Krejci. They always seemed there best against us. Glad they're gone but Bergeron just had a 4 goal night so he'll be feeling good.

Hope the boys are ready.

1. Mrazek probably still not well enough to backup.

2. Or ....traded to “accommodate Campbell’s new deal”

3. Or cap shenanigans

I say #1

Big game. A win tonight would finally put the bad start behind us. We could pass both BOS and TB in pts%, get right back over a 100pt pace, and have another win against a quality opponent under our belts.

Their first line is unreal. After that it's a huge drop-off offensively.

They have a couple good d pairs solidify by McAvoy and Grezlcyk. On paper the D looks weaker than before.

Goaltending is a question mark. I think that's where they could get screwed if Ullmark doesn't play how they hope.

Woll doesn't required waivers. Hutchinson would require waivers to be sent back down after the call-up. If this was a long-term thing, Hutchinson would be up though.
Good call. I knew that, not sure why it didn't occur to me.

I thought the first period against Tampa wasn't great, although to be fair the Leafs did start with some jump.

Can’t believe they don’t meet Boston again until March. Hope for a big effort tonight.

Agreed, Tampa won that period IMO but I thought the Leafs were at least in it, weren't really on their heels.
Tampa is a good team, that game was a great measuring stick.
Consistency has always been the struggle though. I'd like to think that's a thing of the past now. I believe the Carolina game really opened their eyes.
