The NHL draft fast approaching (June 22-23 in Columbus), the Bruins have invited a handful of top prospects to the Hub of Hockey this weekend.

‘‘We’ll put them through some tests, take them to dinner, show them the city,’’ said Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli, who returned to Boston Wednesday after attending the NHL combine in Toronto and then chairing his club’s scouting meets in Ottawa.

aside from Ellerby, it almost looks like Chiarelli is looking to move down and flip the #8 for something....

perhaps packaged with Murray, Thomas, or Toivonen.
