Sadly I think we're going to need to get used to this kinda thing. Bergy is not really that old but he has a lot of mileage on him. It's just the way it goes in the wonderful world of aging.
Quite possibly. The problem with groin injuries is that they're hard to treat and there's no easy or guaranteed means of doing so - what might work in one case won't in another. Particularly when there's degeneration in the tendons or associated muscles, as Bergy will almost certainly have, it's not really about repairing anything as such but trying to stem the ongoing damage, prevent inflammation and other issues and make the tendons as strong and durable as possible.
It's a tricky science, where it can sometimes take a hit and miss approach to find the best solution for each patient, if an effective one is found at all. Bergy's PRP injection demonstrates that - they're pretty common for pro-athletes, and hopefully in his case it helps, but the medical science around their benefits (or lack thereof) is still very mixed. The most important thing for the Bs is to make sure he's 100% right, or as close as possible, before he plays a game. If that's later than October 3, I'd rather that than playing him too soon.
