I really liked this interview...each time I hear Cassidy talk, I like him more.

Just seems like a straight shooting likable guy.

He really opened up and told it like it is in this interview. Good to hear and very excited to see which of our prospects can step it up and grab one of the available spots we got.

Definitely likes to talk. Reminds me of Terry Francona. Couldnt imagine him being tough of the players

Def an age thing.

Im 41. Grew up and live in MA. Bruins games on in my house all the time growing up and went to my first game at the age of 9. I was told to hate the Habs by my adult male family members. But, never really understood why. Other than it being a cultural thing and seeing the old highlights etc.

For the older generations I def get it. The hate arrived naturally over the years. But, for me there has not been anything on the ice, except for the trivial flopping and whiney behaviors, to get pissed about.

Whereas with Pittsburgh there is legit reasoning. Stealing our colors. Lemieux. Barasso. Samuelson. The entire Stanley Cup run of the 1990s. The 2005 draft lottery. Cooke. Neal. Orpik. Iggy. Cindy.
Add in top notch quality NHL level play, hits and fighting whenever they have a tilt and THAT is the bigger rivalry IMHO
Hate that comes naturally is a beautiful thing. Much better than the stuff the local media tries to manufacture.
I really didn't develop that habs hate till I started regularly attending the live Habs-B's games. Before 2010, they used to come down by the bus load. Something about being in large groups brought out the worst behavior. They'd taunt, harass, throw popcorn... everything except direct physical altercation trying to provoke B's fans .
I learned to hate the Pens for many of the same reasons as you. I'm surprised there isn't more Pens hate out there.
