We need something, anything from a line combo that works with CB98. Let's see what crap LR throws at the wall tonight.

Rinse and Repeat.. ANOTHER Tanker loss fcoming upor the bottom feeder Blackhawks ...the 5x5 game is so putridcfor Chicago =no chance of beating Boston...not that the Bruins are that great..still the Hawks be the Hawks ...hardcto win hames except by multiple Pp goals only and that assumes Hawks will not give up many ...and you realistically cannot assume that....however thel silver lining with compiling loss after loss is bei g in the Martone/Misa or Schaefer sweepstakes...good chance we get a top 3 pick..

Pretty shitty that Bedard isn't even a top 15 center in the league right now considering all of his hype. The talent is there but this kid needs some help and better coaching. He's 32nd in PPG over his career, that's absolutely crazy. I don't know what Teravainen's deal is but after looking great with him to start the season he's been a total ghost.

Bedard cannotcwin draws...So time spent chasing the other guys after losing possession.. No Hawks on this teamare good at getting pucks back after losing pisrssion..

Bedard certainly is not able to do that AND if tge help cannot do it either, you get lost tomevonattack spent ratger defendingvattacks.

The balancing of this flaw works be IF either Hawks were goid at quick re-pisrssions(but they are not) OR when they do get pisession to both exit the d-zobe and enter the o-zobe at a much better efficiency than we have seen..

Bedard himself is surprisingly ineffective at driving through the neutral zone with the puck directly up the middle and either backing the ops' D back deep or splitting the D for open slit shots..Tgerexare Centersvi this league that can drive right up the middle and back those D off deep or split them for a high dangerxslit shot ...Bedard gets shunted off to the side ir stopped in his tracks at the bluekibe when he tries rishrs up the middle...forced to do side rushes Too Often.

Is this a lack of pure speed or a lack of Power..in either case he is not very good in these aspects at the NHL level ..not good enough to be in the top1/3 of1Cs who can do this.

The truth is the truth even if it hurts.

We are not seeing Crosby or McDavid level driving up the middle from hom ..So it is hardctobscore from the flanks .
Also hos linemayed to not get to the area between the dots to cause chaos.. so easy for the opps to stop the perimeter Hawks 5x5.

As for the first line: I thought Hall was a bit better against Leafs. He went north/south a few times and had his good looks.... Bert on the other hand has fallen into the trap of always looking for 98 even when he is covered. The last game he had a budding 2 on 1 with 98 - though he had space to move he threw the puck away in rushing to get it to the kid. I don't think he fits there..... would rather have more speed, like a Mikeyev, to open up some ice for Bedard.

I'm not sure what you saw from Hall that tells you he fits there. He created nothing for Bedard, and actively kept the puck away from Bedard. He also turned it over to the other team at our own blueline twice in one shift.

I say give Bert another shot with Bedard and someone else who can make plays for others, not just themselves.

He has 80pts in 93 GP on one of the worst rosters in the cap era, and one of the worst rosters in 2024-25, while being the youngest player in the league for 75% of that time, and the 2md youngest player in the league for the other 25% of that time.

No argument that he needs more from teammates and coaches, but that's pretty solid considering the circumstances.

Brodie has been less bad lately, but I don't think I'd use the word "great" to describe anything about his game lately.
He’s been fine lately. Almost worth his salary. If he continues on this pace he was a reasonably good signing.

I didn't say Hall was good, just better. And I don't see Bert there .... and didn't Hawks already try TT and Kurashev on the line? Whose left?
I honestly think with the current roster, it is better to play Bedard with guys who are speedy, who can open up some ice for Bedard. Again, Mikayev, who plays a solid two-way game and has possibly the best wheels on the team.
