Post-Game Talk: Bruins get robbed by refs again, lose 3-2

There was 7 seconds left. Don't understand the need to get it into the slot right away. Bergeron should have taken that draw.

Definitely got jobbed by the refs though. That was brutal.

In a league that is so consistently affected by poor officiating, you can't expect a team to go 16-17 games without losing one to bad calls, (we've reaped the benefits ourselves).

Yeah, a biased B's fan like myself may see a game that may have been called with a Detroit win in mind, but I will believe it only to be my bias (because of the lack of consistent bad calls game in and game out FOR one specific team - see Habs).

Streak broken, on to the playoffs.

Doug.

I don't think Howard played very well. The Bruins missed the net WAY too many times when they had Howard out of position. They also had the usual "logo shot" dialed in most of night.

Streaks don't matter, championships do. Going undefeated in regulation is nice, but losing shows you what your team can work on moving forward and without that knowledge/experience, thinking you can beat every team just cause you win all the time isn't the right mindset going into the playoffs with.

That being said, hopefully we see more of Bart instead of Meszaros.

One of those nights, carried the play all night, Detroit capitalized on their few chances and got helped out by the refs on the non Krug goal, no big deal. Would much rather face Columbus then Detroit anyways, still frustrating to lose that way.

I'd be confident playing against them in a 7 game series. We got about 30 chances and missed 28. Red Wings got some massive breaks.

I don't care if Datsyuk or Zetterberg weren't playing. This offense against that defense wouldn't end well for them.

Weird to lose a game on the road. We played without our hottest player and outplayed a team that got lucky. I have no fear of facing the Wings in a 7 game series.

Honestly, I'd agree as well. I really like the Redwings and their system of play and players so I was cheering for them all this month to get into 7th.

Pittsburgh vs. Detroit in the first round will be incredible.

I'm not glad about the loss, thats foolish to say. However, if theres any type of positive its that the bruins can realize that they're not invincible and need to make every opportunity count.

Lack of finish is the reason the bruins didn't beat the Hawks in 5 last year.

Well, it had to end sometime. Outplayed them, got the better chances, not the least bit of concern.

Krejci and Chara would sit next game if it were up to me. Krejci is playing like the Krejci I don't like. His hat trick game was the last time he was actually all there mentally IMO. Rest would do nothing but good for those two.

Weird losing anywhere. We have now lost 2 of our last 18 games in one of those was a shootout. In both cases, the opposing goalie stole both games. I fear no one in a 7 game series if this team stays healthy.

Howard was fantastic. This didn't seem to be one of those games you're describing to me.

Krug's goal stands = Boychuk goal never happens. They'd be in the same spot either way.

You can't get into an argument like that. Robbing a team of a goal isn't excused just because said team score again afterwards (albeit some time after the PP runs out). Yes, the Boychuk goal doesn't happen, like that. But they might score another one, or two, break Howard. Who knows? The point is the refs screwed the team over by missing a call, that's inarguable.

I honestly see that team beating Pittsburgh due to coaching. Then I believe it is a coin toss between them and Philadelphia to win the Metropolitan division (weird that Detroit can come out with that).

I also don't want to see Caron in the lineup anymore, he comes back for one game and the B's lose, please insert Spooner, Caron is useless.

Yea, the refs missed a call on the Krug goal. **** happens. Tip of the cap to Howard for playing extremely well and to the Wings for playing a gutsy game. Bruins played well, some sloppy moments (the line change leading to the Nyquist goal comes to mind) but I thought they played good. Gotta give the Wings credit.

I really wonder why Kelly took that draw at the end and not Bergeron. Odd move.

Just didn't put their chances away. And, there were plenty. Did they give Kelly Axelsson's old locker or something? Full confidence Krejci will get it going for the playoffs. But he hasn't been pulling his weight lately like Bergy and Soda.

Hell of a run. Sorry to see it end.

Really didn't like that slew foot, or whatever you want to call it, on Bergeron.

That's when you want to see Lucic offer to punch Nyquist back into the AHL. Nyquist is a hell of a player. I don't know how Detroit keeps findings these guys in the late rounds, while I'm watching Caron play himself right out of professional hockey.
