I can't wait for Chiarelli to get fired so that this board can be spared the repetitive "evaluating" jokes*.

*Called them jokes for lack of a better term. Worse than Carlos Mencia one lines.

Edit: I'm not defending Chiarelli at all, but the "evaluating" meme is a couple of years past its prime at the moment. I'm dying for new Chia jokes.

Fair enough. I added in the 'pecking away' joke to the Bruins trade thread given that the interview in October and the interview this weekend he commented on how they were 'pecking away' at trades here and there.

His face on woody woodpecker?

This is a bottom 5 defense, one of the worst in the league. We are in the lottery and hoping for a full fledged tank without Rask.

He's a great goalie, but he has a tendency to crumble in crunch time. Bad goals or inability to make key saves when the Bruins really need it. He's way on the backburner as an problem on this flawed team, but it's still an issue.

Seriously, stop blaming the ****ing goaltender.

Did the goaltender have a 4:00 minute powerplay and do NOTHING with it? Did the goaltender not finish any chances? Did the goaltender constantly break down in the defensive zone?

This place doesn't know what ****** goaltending looks like, we are spoiled. I remember Blaine Lacher and John Blue and Hannu Toivenen and....

Because he single-handedly lost the game in OT? Poor play by the team in the second half of the game aside, they could still have won that game. Rask completely blew it.

Bull ****. That game was over after cgy changed goalies. ****ing soderberg was right there and did jack ****.

Other than that freakish crazy OT goal, Rask played great. How can anyone blame him?

Team blew a 3-0 lead and failed to score on a 4-min PP that would have put the game away.

He made some great saves....but played "great"???? What are you watching? 5... Count them.....5 huge rebounds in front of our net....luckily their shots were blocked or we chipped it away. On the PP...he was way too deep for a wrist shot from the point....

Rask is far from great. Great goalies don't lose that game.... The only thing "great" about Rask is his Great big fat cap number...

He is not the whole problem, but some of the problem.

He made plenty of game savers tonight. I also can't see how any of those goals could be his fault.

Soderberg has definitely turned out to be akin to a ponzi scheme they've invested in.

I'd hold the core from 2011.

The rest might as well be exchanged or shopped in hopes of finding better cohesion.

I think Nathan Horton would contribute more on the injury reserve than half the current roster.

I hope this team makes a few seller moves to improve for the future and still makes the playoffs. I think we can shed some fat and still go to the 2nd round.

This team looks outmatched in regular season hockey. In almost every aspect of the game.

In a way, I would love (but mostly hate) to see this team in postseason hockey.

Jesus Christ. What is Chiarelli doing? I don't care whether you're buying or selling, or whether you think you're "making a run" or not. You are actively making transactions in this situation...there's no excuse for the idleness and there hasn't been for months.

How is this being accepted? Charlie needs to call out him personally...as well as the team. Then, he should fire him.

Yep....none of this is on Rask

Too much dead weight on this team not contributing...

He's the main reason we even managed a point tonight.

Funny thing is if you sell the vets like Paille campbell and replace them with young guys you would still have a chance to make the playoffs. Literally can't be as bad as them. He'll one goal would already equals Pailles production

I agree brother... The benefit i give the 4th line is Julien puts them out in terrible situations

Wait...

Are you including Seidenberg and Chara in this? How about Kelly, Campbell, and Paille? What exactly is the "core"?

I have a feeling if you do answer these questions, I'm going to wholeheartedly disagree with you.

The "hang onto the core" thing is exactly what's gotten the team intro trouble. Judging everything based on past impressions and performances instead of having even a lick of logical foresight.

Goaltender had a 3 goal lead..... When they lose 3-2, you are hard pressed to blame the goalie....but spotted with a 3-0 lead and you cannot handle rebounds....yup...goalie is one of the reasons. Not the only....

Can someone please make avatars with Chiarelli's picture and 'The Evaluator' as the name like our playoff threads? Buyers/sellers whatever.

I cannot see anything that is remotely worth evaluating here.

Exactly. Soderberg needed to do a hell of a lot more than make a weak poke check at the line.

He's looked bad for a few games now and to me, is more concerning than Tuukka Rask at the moment.

Lol ok so I'm the bad guy for hoping our goalie can catch a floater in the final second of OT.
