Yeah, didn't have a big problem with the 5 on 5 here, they did a pretty decent job limiting chances and had guys out sick and injured.

To me though it shows two things:

1. A talent infusion at forward would be very good. I don't know that it has to be a center, a strong winger would help a ton too.

2. This is another game that could've been won with a strong powerplay. Not sure what's going on there but it feels like we're going to leave points on the table with the PP problems

Ya the PK seems to be back on track but they definitely need to get the PP going somehow.

Agreed. Our shopping list for the trade deadline might need to include a PP specialist as well as a 2C.

Apart from the fact that in the 3 games he played center he had the best defensive numbers on the team, but hey, he's small I guess.

Yup. He can easily play it if allowed to actually acclimatize to the position. They are going to have to try it again next year barring acquiring a long term solution there. Given our cap situation I find the prospect of adding a $6 plus million center as unrealistic unless we are ok thinning our depth elsewhere on the roster.

Yup. He can easily play it if allowed to actually acclimatize to the position. They are going to have to try it again next year barring acquiring a long term solution there. Its like dropping a slightly used 6.0 litre LS and having to feck with the computer a bit in your winter beater vs buying a brand new Escalade.
