Not sure the hatred that Lohrei gets sometimes, but he is our best offensive D-man at this point and he is only going to get better. 6’4” super young talented defensemen don’t grow on trees

And why the hell is Korpi not playing in more games?
Yes and exactly.
Korpi does not flop as quickly as Swayman does. Stands up more. Plus his lateral movement seems on par if not better than Swayman.

I was talking about Zadorov. He is who I meant by 'everyone's least favorite D.'

The Carlo comment was a separate comment.
I thought you meant Lohrei because there's lots of Lohrei critics in here

The kid does some very stupid things on defense ...but I enjoy watching him in the offensive zone (especially on the PP) because he's not afraid to shoot and makes shit happen

Pastrnak is just on another level right now. Imagine if he had a supporting cast.... Though I'd also argue the past few years has actually helped him become "the guy". He's put this team on his back.... And there's a lot of dead weight on this roster....

I appreciate the attitude and overall demeanor of guys like Kastelic and Zadorov. Need more of this. Especially from the group that doesn't score or provide any value defensively. Viel was pretty good too in his limited time. Getting to the front of the net and taking the body at every opportunity. PO Joseph is probably one of the nicest guys in the league. Really solid kid with a good head on his shoulders. Played most of his Junior hockey career here in my hometown. Hope Marchand is okay.

Maybe sell high on Carlo after that game. Hopefully scouts were watching. Very good #2-4 D when engaged. Change of scenery needed IMO.

Lohrei is developing nicely. I believe he could be really good soon.

John Blue or modern day Jim Craig could have won that game in goal but the narrative here is Korpi is the future. Yup.

Carlo showcased everything he does well against a brutally bad team so his challenges were not exposed. If he's gone, he got good props.

Coyle looks like a guy who thinks he's out the door.

If Pasta can carry the team to victory tomorrow, things could at least be interesting. Liked a few things from Merk as the game went along. Mitchell on the PP . . .yeah defensive depth.
I didn't notice Merk much. Mitchell was the 2nd defenseman trying to cover 1 guy on the shortie. He missed picking up the trailer.

It has been fun watching David (Pasta) developing into a leader on this team. I remember this skinny kid whose English wasn't so good all of those years ago. Now he is well spoken and clearly a leader but is also still such a good guy. We are so lucky to have him on the team.
It seemed like he flipped a switch at some point this season and started playing a different game. Fantastic self-upgrade in terms of play. He always had high skill, but this version is better.

He was nursing at least one injury at the start of the season. I would guess he is feeling better!

He still makes rookie mistakes on D but I love his offensive edge
He is young and IMO will only get better

That's why he has a lot of critics.

But I agree, he's a joy to watch with the puck on his stick.
