Finland is so anemic offensively that Höglander decided to show how it's done...![]()
yep he was completely going the other wayWell after that one he clearly sucks!
Might as well just pack it up really. Has had a good run.yep he was completely going the other way
A tomte with shrink him if he doesn't soon straighten up.Höglander is trying to lose both the semifinal and the bronze game for Sweden
Studio commentator Dusan (is that his name?) says "Finland scores after a swedish defensive mistake"
WTF? How is Höglanders play a defensive mistake?
It's a braindead mistake, but it is not done while doing a defensive play at all.
I don’t really have a big problem with his statement.
Good puck management is part of team defence.
Defence is more about natural talent, you have to know how to read plays and positioning is a key, and you also need to know the smart pass forwards everytime, you can get noticeable better offensively in one summer by working on your shot, you can’t teach situational smarts or play reading.I tend to disagree.
Offense requires a natural talent and skill whereas defence is really about fundamentals.
I say this as a defensive defenceman in hockey and a defender in soccer.
I’m good at what I do but I’m not under any illusion that it’s hard to learn.

Are you mad?Maccelli is such a big negative for this team.
They pay offensive players more cause goals are worth more, but you can’t teach someone like Kovalchuk be better defensively but you can make a defender better offensivelyYeah, I think the opposite.
You can learn positioning and reading plays.
I can never be as fast as some of the guys in my league.
They pay offensive players more money because the skill set is rarer.
I dont know why i have this feeling, but i think Sweden will score 3-4 goals in this period. #wizard
I mean you are describing how smart the hockey player is not actual defense. That affects a player offensively and defensively. You can absolutely learn how to be positioned better in the defensive zone, where to have your stick in certain situations. It might take longer to develop defensively because a lot of development in that regards is around a combination of hard work and experience. Also do you want to list off the players that have gone from having a bad shot to a good one in a summer off working on their shot?Defence is more about natural talent, you have to know how to read plays and positioning is a key, and you also need to know the smart pass forwards everytime, you can get noticeable better offensively in one summer by working on your shot, you can’t teach situational smarts or play reading.
That is us, I can see that. We can lose a 5-1 game in the 3rd period. You Finns are hilarious.
You thump your chests whenever you can but are also the biggest pessimists around.

You can not make Tanner Glass, Sidney Crosby....but you can teach Sidney Crosby how to take faceoffs and where to be defensively. You couldn't make Kovalchuk better defensively because he didn't want to be better defensively. They pay offensive players more cause goals are worth more, but you can’t teach someone like Kovalchuk be better defensively but you can make a defender better offensively
