Slovakia may want this one more than the Swedes. But Sweden is probably the better team 'on paper' - should be an interesting match.

That's a pretty fair assessment. If Slovakia comes out with the fire they had last evening, then they've got a real good shot. I hope Sweden gets the Godla we saw last night

I think it's fair to say Canada has your back Slovakia (no offense to Sweden). Godla deserves a medal to take home after the work he's put in.

Torn here. Always want an underdog team to medal. This would be huge for the Slovaks.

But I want Nylander to get a medal as a Leafs fan.

Can we call it a tie? :)

Yepp gogo Slovakia! i wish you gonna win this!! this Swedish team don't deserve to win this game...:handclap::handclap:

What if Sweden is the better team today?

Hope they choke, like they did against Russia, and "underestimate" this team as well.

They will probably fall all the time like they did against Russia.
And they will need glue to their sticks since they can't even catch the passes.

I laughed quite hard at this  :handclap:

Hopefully we'll see a repeat of 1999, when Sweden stormed through the opening round, before dropping a turd in the semifinal, and then gaving up in the bronze medal game to Slovakia.

But I suspect we'll see something more like 2010, when Sweden took out their frustration in the bronze game on Switzerland.

Sweden wins 6-2

if godla plays like he did yesterday slovakia wins this

sweden wins it if godla is less than.

It might take the Slovaks winning Bronze just to see Godla win player of the game.

Slovakia wins it 1 - 0, Godla posts a 36 save shutout, including several highlight reel saves. Player of the game for Slovakia goes to a forward. And not the one who scored.
