He's worth like a 2nd and a 3rd. Canucks will probably make the genius decision of extending him on an immediately regrettable contract.
There is pretty much zero chance Boeser moves. If anything, they might start extension talks over the summer. He wants to stay and the team reported loves him.
I think Faber had a lot of huge fans who saw him as surefire Top 4 NHL D. Incredible skater, back to back Big 10 defender of the year. On a stacked Gopher team, he always stood out as an elite talent. The ones who only focused on the scoring stats were missing the big picture and plenty of fans and scouts had him rated significantly higherFaber was playing very well in the NCAA, but didn't play PP at all, and had nice, but nothing special offensive stats. Like i said in my post, most considered to have the value of a late 1st at the time.
A 2nd and a 3rd? We'll keep him at that price and pick up necas for a 4th if that’s the valuation .He's worth like a 2nd and a 3rd. Canucks will probably make the genius decision of extending him on an immediately regrettable contract.
2nd+3rd is a good return for Boeser. Turn around and use the 3rd to dump Mikheyev and attach the 2nd to Hronek to acquire Necas.A 2nd and a 3rd? We'll keep him at that price and pick up necas for a 4th if that’s the valuation .
It's a ridiculously low return for a 40 goal scorer. Think Fiala and something slightly less than that trade. Which was essentially two mid 1sts.2nd+3rd is a good return for Boeser. Turn around and use the 3rd to dump Mikheyev and attach the 2nd to Hronek to acquire Necas.

Would leave you with around $35m to sign a top 6 RW, 3C, top RD and some depth.
Wrong. There is nothing stopping the Canucks from trading him as long as everything is disclosed to the other team.Until he is medically cleared he can't be traded and think teams be concerned this is not just something minor.
Proven playoff performer, rather keep Boeser. Doubt his replacement can be any better in the playoffs.
He has had one 40g season. In the previous 4 seasons he scored 18, 23, 23, and 16. Let's get real, here. He is hardly a guy who puts up 40g every year. He is a 20-25 g scorer. It's a ridiculously low return for a 40 goal scorer. Think Fiala and something slightly less than that trade. Which was essentially two mid 1sts.
His career average is 30 goals per 82 games. He has had one 40g season. In the previous 4 seasons he scored 18, 23, 23, and 16. Let's get real, here. He is hardly a guy who puts up 40g every year. He is a 20-25 g scorer.

I didn’t realize that 23 points in 29 games makes you a proven playoff performer.
Fiala had had one 33 goal season at the time. It's still the most of his career. Boeser won't likely hit 40 again but he's averaged 30 goals per 82 his whole career. He has had one 40g season. In the previous 4 seasons he scored 18, 23, 23, and 16. Let's get real, here. He is hardly a guy who puts up 40g every year. He is a 20-25 g scorer.
So true. The next one however is going to be Boeser when we sign him 7 x 8 mil and he returns to a 25-30 goal 55 point player and his trade value drops to basically nothing. Then you'll see the 100s of proposals trading him out of town for nothing. Hence why now the ideal time to move him.Crazy how a little success changes the minds of so many fans. Between Miller, Boeser, Garland and Myers, we have 100s of garbage proposals in here trying to dump them over the last few years. 100s. The 4 players who stepped things up when it all counted the most.
Unfortunately the Vancouver media is guilty of driving these narratives too. In fact, they’re probably responsible for forming these opinions we see. That means be prepared for the next wave of them. Demko “can’t stay healthy, so move him”, EP40 “has no heart, so move him”and Hronek “couldn’t handle playoff pressure, so move him” type of posts coming soon to the site.
Now watch the Canucks not resign Myers, and finally trade Boeser and Garland after most of those daily posts have finally disappeared.
I think you just nailed it with the first sentence. He had a breakout yr and shot at an unsustainably high clip. When he returns to earth we will be cursing not moving him this summer when we could get a decent return.Did anyone increase their value more last year than BB? VAN would be better off to move the passengers (even if they have to pay to do so) and resign BB.
They just like to shit on Canucks players. It goes back for over a decade with Kesler and the Sedins. This board over values how much they know about hockey (me included) and likes to take hard line views.Just like many people were wrong about JT Miller, many people were wrong about Garland, many people were wrong about Brock.
Does not change anything honestly, he’s a better player now then he was a year ago
