But what does asymptomatic mean in this context?

I didn't say 'asymptomatic', I said 'asymptotal' which I've been informed by the Google machine isn't a real f***ing word yet. Someone has got to get on that.

Basically means a close to zero PPG. Like 0.07 PPG. Like, just a tragic case of a hockey player. Take Liam O'Brien for example. How does he keep getting NHL games? I can't give you that answer, but I can tell you every time I watch his game, I kinda like it.

Oooh ok I see I see. Sorry for the confusion!

So many people look at his fall off as unprecedented. However, look at the sharp drops of young superstars Jimmy Carson and Barry Pederson. Or even Petri Skriko and Patrik Laine.

The only thing Pettersson has done in the last 72 hours is the game against the Kraken

That performance is wow, what they need more from him?

Christ, did the Canucks "medical" staff start treating Toccs for stress? God help him

"He's just slumping"
"It's the contract anxiety weighing him down"
"He'll turn it up for the playoffs like in 2020"
"He's got big defensive responsibilities"
"He'll have a good offseason and not fall like Bambi"
"He's got tendonitis, gotta ride it out"
"Miller gets the good wingers and hogs all the ice time with Hughes"
"Miller is the cancer keeping Petey down"
"Four Nations will get him going"
"It was a nagging injury all along"

"He's now doing things differently!" <- We are here

I imagine Tocc has to do something like this after his hopelessly positive quips:

Finally he sets the record straight.

TLDR if you didn't watch:

-He says that injury is the reason for his poor play
-He talks about his tendonitis journey
-He mentions that he couldn't train in the offseason and as a result, his skating has been poor all season
-Just kidding he didn't say any of that

It's crazy to me how none of Tocchet, Rutherford, Allvin, the media or Pettersson himself are telling the truth about his poor play.

I'm so glad I subscribe to online hockey message boards, so I know the real reason that he's playing poorly is because he:

is injured
was injured
had ongoing tendonitis

recovered from injury but didn't get to train in the offseason because he was busy resting.

He told as much of the truth as he's going to. What do you want him to say?

"Yeah, my knee has been bothering me all season...it's really nice of everyone out there that isn't slashing it every time I'm in their general vicinity because I could get seriously hurt out there and have to miss even more games." and then he gets the Bobby Clarke special.

Not that the f***ing elephant isn't already out there, but players are NOT entitled to share anything about their personal lives that they don't want to share. For good reason.

Past that, if he's tired of answering the questions, there's only one thing left to do and it's entirely up to him.
