Brisson confirms that EP40 dealt with injury which prevented him from Off-season Training.

It was always obvious that something was bothering him physically. Same with his confidence level being down and not shooting the puck. The worst part is that all the shit-talking and media click-bait mongering could have been avoided, if the team would have just been honest about the whole situation. I mean, Tocchet straight up lied after the playoffs were over, when he said EP wasn't hurt... like what the hell is that? Totally threw EP under the bus, and for what purpose?
Didn't he acknowledge that Pettersson had tendonitis, but just downplayed it in the usual way? Maybe I'm remembering wrong.

I was pretty sure he said he wasn't injured during the playoff exit interviews. Maybe he acknowledged the tendinitis another time, like training camp. I'm not too sure

Outside of maybe one or two posters, I don't really see all the Petey hate? Generally I see reasonable discussion regarding the nuances of Petey's injury, recovery and poor play. It would be better for the general quality of discourse on here if we can just focus on the merits of the reasonable views put forth, rather than overgeneralize, sensationalize and strawman the opposing side's views. If it frustrates you to discuss or debate the minutiae of this topic, for whatever reason, then just don't partake in the discussion or debate.

I honestly find the whole thing to be quite disheartening.

I am not a medical practitioner either, but I did and probably still have patellar tendinitis, and the tendon was shown to be inflamed on a MRI of my knee. So, presumably - and I say this with zero qualification or expertise - an MRI is relatively conclusive since it should should whether the tendon is inflamed or not.

The professional player agent's post positively perforates the putridly pusillanimous petterhate permeating the pedantic prose perceived by all participants in this place.

C'mon, tawksy.
What part of brevity is the soul of toxicyness do you not understand

PS I am PO'd you pulverized me in palliteration. Pamn you. Pamn you to Pell!

You must read Patrick O'Brian. Don't be misled by the movie
Yes, I have heard his books are good. I actually haven't watched any movie on Nelson. I have learned about him through several different podcasts. Incredibly interesting man.

Pope's Ramage series is ok. Pope's England Expects is a must read (non-fiction account of Trafalgar). As an aside, there are parallels to what Nelson did against the combined fleet, to what Adm Holland did at Denmark Straits when Hood blew up. Holland's mistake being to lead with Hood rather than PoW, while Nelson and Collingwood rightly led with Victory and Royal Sovereign.

The Hornblower books are decent. Hotspur is imo the best in that series

O'Brian blows them all out of the water. So many incredible moments. The one that always hits home is the beginning of The Surgeon's Mate, as Shannon enters Halifax Harbour with the Union Jack flying over Cheasapeake's stars and stripes. Absolutely unbelievable writing, made all the more poignant knowing the fates of Lawrence and Broke.

This International Tourney is actually very important.

1. One it'll get him going and hopefully he gets out of his head
2. Increase Trade Value
