Bridgeport Islanders Discussion 2024-25: Where's the Farm?

I liked Thompson. For me if the AHL players can come up and look the part in the NHL fairly soon it means the AHL coach has them ready to play. I always think back to Alan Quine for some reason about that. A literal nobody came up, played really well in the playoffs to the point where idiot Capuano thought he could play on the first line.
I agree and I think that was the heart of Lou’s comment about not caring about an AHL record as long as the players come and perform in the show.

We can be critical at the lack of forward development in the A to NHL transition but overall there was a lot of development.

Hoping Cam Berg will get a contract too

Were Lou still the GM, I'd be willing to bet he'd be added via an AHL (two-way) contract like drafted players such as Krygier, Pivonka, Rajaniemi, and even recently Gill before him.

Even more "on hold" than all things NHL until the new management is in place are the decisions with respect to Bridgeport.

No telling how the new GM will view the existing properties or the few minor league RFAs in the organization (Beckman and Foudy being the most noteable).
