I was down on Leason coming into this season, and his numbers have not been great. But he put a couple of absolute dangles on some Boston players last night. My jaw dropped on that one move where he went backhand-forehand through the triangle of a defender to get a shot off from the slot. I did not know he had that arrow in the quiver.

Leason becoming more physical is a major improvement. I always thought he could puck handle for his size well enough and had a long reach, but his lack of physicality negated much of that.

Of course, having big brother Johnston on your line does help to increase the courage to hit more.

Don’t remember the last guy who I did such a 180 on from one season to the next, kudos to him. Only guy in the entire bottom 6 who saw a significant number of games and was on the roster at the end of the year who should be a roster lock for next year

Looks more like the Leason of 23-24 rather then 22-23 now. As others have said, just a solid depth piece. Good to see him get rewarded on the PP too, plays the net front role perfectly.
