Yeah I remember even into the early 2000’s the typical goalie build was, small, quick, agile which I think in the small pad/pre butterfly era genuinely was better but in the butterfly era it’s more advantageous to be taller so you can still cover some of the top half even when down.Billy. Sorry I didn't realize you said Mike earlier.
Give him the 5x5 just like Jack Campbell.. I mean what can go wrong..?He had a couple solid AHL games. Oil Country says, that's a good enough sample size for me, sign him up please! Preferably a 3 year NTC deal.![]()

How’d he end up with 11 minutes in Fort Wayne? Gotta be a fight or some kind of major penalty in there.Thats a lot of PIMs for a goalie.
He's been good in the ECHL for a couple of seasons as well so it's not like the guy has no track record beyond those 2 games. He had a couple solid AHL games. Oil Country says, that's a good enough sample size for me, sign him up please! Preferably a 3 year NTC deal.![]()

Condors were outshot 37-13 and only lost 2-1 thanks to Brochu. It's only 3 games but it's hard to argue with a 0.937sv%.Another stellar performance tonight by Brochu!

He didn't allow any goals until the third period and made 35 saves while only letting in two. So rocking a .937 after three strong games in a row while Rodrigue and Delia sit in the .800s despite playing behind an arguably better lineup all season. Hope he keeps this up and the Oilers get him under contract.
Also, he likes fighting...
Some guys are sort of just like that, either way brochu emerging as a goalie prospect of some legitimacy would be just massive. The higher the league, the higher his save % becomes.
