Not really surprised of that news.

What Galchenyulk did is just beyond impressive.

To do the jump from CHL to NHL, is something only a few can do.
At the age of 18.... even more impressive.
With missing to whole last season due to a serious injury... WOW!

And getting 3 points in his first 4 games ever.

I guess they figured a Russian mother will be better at keeping him in line than Gionta or Plekanec.

Well it wouldn't make any sense to ask him to go live with Gio or Pleks when his mom and sister share an appartment in the same city would it?

And then Martin Lapointe shows up, takes them both by the ear, cancels the contracts and sends them to the gym.

All the makings of a sitcom.

What happens when Pacioretty, Subban and Nokelainen are on the roster?

14 forwards 8 defensemans 2 goalies

Assuming everyone is healthy and has a contract.

Weber trade for pick?
Nokelainen down with NHL salary?
Eller trade? ;)

Considering what halak is doing/done, better get something for Eller or that trade will have been a total blunder , Halak was worth a lot more then Eller, but I guess the trade was cooked up long before it happen, I've said once and I 'll say it again, Halak belonged in montreal

I bet Prust is so happy now too. He can play the grit game he likes and he's on a line with two very offensive-minded players. It's the perfect role for Prust, and it works out well for the two youngins'

Pre-lockout I was pretty much 100% that A.Gally should be in junior and to not waste a year of ELC. Well, he played a half year in junior and became more and more dominant as the season progressed, and as somebody mentioned, the juniors only have about 20 games left and its over 40 in the NHL. All that plus how he is playing, I am 100% that he should stay up. Great for B.Gally as well.

Happy for both kids. Though decisionsn will need to be taken soon. I do Nokie becoming a full time #13 forward. But with Pacioretty coming back, there's one guy too many. And I start to feel like Eller will be traded.....

We better not make another young kid traded mistake....Pretty sure bet that Eller will develop elsewhere, let's be sure we pick something significative....and especially knowing who we dealt in the first place...
