My first question; is Bill Guerin dumb?

My second question; if not dumb, is he f***ing drunk?

Similar to the Frederic deal, getting anything of value for Brazeau is a win, but this is a hilarious overpayment on paper;

Khusnutdinov is the 6th ranked prospect in Minnesota's 8th ranked prospect pool;

Khusnutdinov had a rather muted opening trial with the Wild, but the franchise is hoping that him getting his feet wet this spring will be a valuable stepping stone that will make him just that much better in the fall when he embarks upon his first full campaign in North America. Make no mistake, though, he showed some flashes of the razzle-dazzle that he was well-known for over in Russia. He can be truly electrifying with how he flies through the neutral zone with the puck on his stick, and once he gets more accustomed to the smaller ice surface of the NHL, he should be able to resume doing this as a regular occurrence. How well will he be able to handle the physical grind of an 82-game season? That’s the big question, and the answer will heavily influence how much value he brings.

He legit might be the Bruins best prospect now. There is no world where Brazeau should bring anything but a late round pick back.

Lauko could still get moved.

He could. Bruins will need bodies though. I feel he sticks for the rest of the season. Khusnutdinov is the one I'm curious to see what they do with. So long as he doesn't require waivers -- AHL wouldn't be a bad thing where he can play and work on some offense. Not going to do that in the NHL playing 8-10 minutes a night.

Can’t see why anyone would be upset with this deal.

UFA for 2 RFA’s and 6th heck I personally think Lauko is a perfect add with Kastelic they should grind out some solid shifts together.
That would involve sitting Beecher.. And we wouldn't dare do that!

...Sorry. Sweenius!

6. Marat Khusnutdinov, C/LW, 22 (Minnesota Wild)

Acquired: Drafted 37th overall, second round in 2020

Khusnutdinov got his first taste of NHL action at the end of 2023-24, putting up four points in 16 games to close out the year. It came in a campaign after starting the year with SKA St. Petersburg before heading off to HK Sochi for the bulk of the year. His production rate dropped, but Khusnutdinov he still played a big role on a poor team and proved to many scouts that he’s still a legitimate prospect with a bright future ahead of him. Khusnutdinov is just 5-foot-9, but he has some great, pure skill and hustles hard to make up for it. I think Khusnutdinov will become a third-liner in the NHL, one capable of winning a boatload of faceoffs and beating players in tight to provide valuable depth scoring.

I'll take that. 5'9" center will take some getting used to but if he can win a bunch of draws who cares.

Bill Guerin is a piece of shit

With tonight's deal Boston now has all of their picks for the next 5 Drafts except for:

2025 2nd round - traded to Washington as part of the Orlov / Hathaway deal
2025 4th round - traded to Detroit as part of the Bertuzzi deal ( pick now belongs to either Anaheim or the Rangers depending on where it ends up )

2027 3rd round - traded to Columbus as part of the Peeke deal

Him and Potsy scares me being so small.I will give this vision time but not a fan of 2 of our 3 future top line centres this small.Lindholm is small.and pretty soft as well.Zacha has size but not a top line centre.I am confused :dunno:

Well they weren’t gonna fix all their holes with a Brazeau trade. Got good value for him, now on to the next move.

Well I think it is a stretch to expect that they will ever be 2 of our 3 top line centers.

I hope they give Marat a look in the top 6 over the remainder of the season to see if there is anything there, but in all honestly I am not expecting much from him, but maybe he will show something

Well Potsy has repeatedly been mentioned here by many as future 2nd line centre.Fair enough though.I hope it all works out
