still need another right hander via trade tbh. pushes everyone down. im NOT counting wallinder in even if its a small sample. hughes hronek. petterson/myers, dpetey/soucy? if not new aquisiton rhd./juulssen/friedman

23/24 IF Zadorov is on his game, but projecting going ahead with EP2 and Willander on their way I like where we are going now.
Hughes - Hronek
MP - Willander
DPetey - Myers
Forbort

Cheap and good. Hell if Cole wants to come back we can bring him back.

Is this last years info?
Rebuilt? No, different and a bit better, yes.

Keep the pendulum closer to center, lets not go to either extreme yet.

Don’t forget Hamhuis. He was elite top 2 dude too, damn we were spoiled!
I'm glad that Hughes is playing in this era where he can show his skill and not back then since he would have been targeted and injured by predatory rats all the time. The no touch icing rule is one of the best thing implemented in the NHL. Pasting defenders into the boards with hits from behind was the norm.

The defense core has been rebuilt, now tune on the forward core
Yup. Now it's a about maintenance and bringing along the youth as the vets age out.

Soucy => D-Petey (Kudryatsev/Minio)
Myers => Willander/Mancini

Forward group needs two top 6 players.

The funny thing about the sarcastic necro of this thread was that it was literally done about 12 hours before all the trades happened. That's kinda hilarious.

It's kinda crazy how much it changed, and in a very very short period of time. M. Petersson and D-petey look goddamn solid, with Willander and Mancini set to come in very soon. Mancini is actually the dark horse in this conversation that I'm quite excited about, and I don't see too many others talking about him. I've been watching a bunch of footage of this kid. I think he's solid as hell, and I'm not going to be shocked if he plays for this team for a good long while. Might be the hidden gem of this trade as the years go by.

I may actually like him over EJ Emery from the Rangers. less puck skills, but what we need is a mobile giant in the back, as long as he can make a decent first pass, hes exactly what is needed in the bottom pair. dont know why they want Fortescue.
