I think people sometimes forget how fortunate we are to have Turek as our GM…a competitive team with more picks available than any other team in the CHL…

Lets hope that he stays under the new ownership....well I hope the team stays in Brantford first

Wow I like Roberts but I would not pass up that either considering we got Budnick in yesterday Seems crazy a 3rd pairing guy gets you 2 2nds and 2 3rds but I guess that is the OHL

No kidding. His year has been pretty good, but i still never trust that he won't make an emotional decision that hurts the team. Love the return.

I had heard (from an unreliable source mind you, so huge grain of salt), that he wanted out since the start of the year.

Agree with this assessment. I honestly think that he was the most improved player on the team this year.

I think the offer was too good to pass up, but next year it will be tough to compete with the dmen they have. They will have to add A LOT.

Next year-Jiricek (maybe), Moore (OA) and Protz will be the only solid OHL dmen in their lineup. That is A LOT of building.

Of course they have some young talent, but if they want to contend they will have to add a lot of experience on the back end.

Keep in mind they're also replacing Lardis and Thomas.

They have a lot of picks, but the team loses a lot too.

News reports are that the arena lease is pretty much rapped up which I would think increased the value. I am going to say 20 million. If we believe Andlauer was not just going to sell the team to the highest bidder but I would imagine he still wanted a good amount for them.

Plans (hopes?), I believe are to be in the new arena by 2027.

I know a lot of people have given criticism to the dad Stu Hyman (and perhaps it is fair) But I was highly impressed with the Hyman family today. With Zach being a pro he knows what good ownership is. Spencer seems like a likeable guy. I think they might just need to keep dad in the background. They are literally getting a turn key operation from management and getting a new arena. Really a good investment for them

I must say as a Brantford resident and long time OHL fan this to me is like getting an NHL team. For years when me and my dad went to games in Guelph, London, Kitchener we would always say it would be great if one day Brantford had a team and should have a team. I’m so glad we have the team on a permanent basis. But I do feel for Hamilton fans that where crushed that team left as after only 2 years it would suck if the team left.
