curious if league looks at Noah Robert’s getting away from one linesman then pushing other one aside while trying to get at James petrovski to fight. Does this kid have any previous disciplinary actions with the league

Hello Brantford fans, I come in in peace. Just curious about tickets for the game on Thursday. I know it's a small arena there and tickets are sold on ticketmaster, but right now it's only resale and on the higher price end. Is there any other options or would this be it now since it's an after Christmas game and it's against a team that's nearby?

Thanks in advance!

I doubt it. It wasn't like Petrovski wasn't a willing combatant.

Does anyone know what our draft cupboard looks like? With the inconsistency this team has showed I’m still inclined to stand pat. Should still be a competitive team next year, see how next year goes and buy then. I’d be comfortable seeing more consistency before being a buyer. However I wouldn’t sell as I think with being in a new market you need to show your fans you are trying to win.

Personally I think you have to either buy or sell. Standing pat would basically put the dogs in a situation where they wont win in either year.

Draft cupboard is in good shape.

Turek is in a tough spot. I don't think next years team is any better, but this team just doesn't have IT.

My feeling is that he'll stand pat or make a small move to tweak things.

I’m going to say they’re buyers this year…first half didn’t go as expected, but also not completely surprising given injuries. I think they still have faith in this team and go for a couple big, but smart buys and see if they can make it happen.

Maybe a soft sell? I don’t know what the chances of Jiricek coming back next year are, maybe trade him for a D that can be here this year and next. I’m thinking like a Protz type trade. It’s not like we have had Jiricek in the lineup much this year. I’d only buy if I’m getting players for this year and next. Looks like we have decent draft capital to make to pay higher price for a player you get for this season and next.

I don't think your GM feels the same way. I think it will become apparent that he's going for it in the coming hours/days.

I can rational going for it as the team should be better than its record. Since I have followed the team since moving to Brantford I have in general like the moves that have been made ( Protz trade great example)

josh brown put it out there first without the name of the owner, but the brantford bulldogs are sold. believe the new owner is stuart hyman.
Wow, Stu Hyman - dad of Zach. He was instrumental in the GTHL changing the way teams could be owned/bought/sold because he and his wife ran a non-profit corporation that owned upwards of 90 gthl clubs from AAA down to Select/HL - I think it was the Red Wings and Toronto Penguins organization. The GTHL eventually changed bylaws to prevent this type of structre.

Who is Josh Brown and is he a credible source? I always believed the Bulldogs would be sold after the arena was built and the lease in place as I thought that would increase their value.

in the paper?
https://www.therecord.com/sports/ho...cle_0eca81ad-ec2f-592f-b8a0-465533481c64.html

It is mentioned in this article. Surprised this has not got more attention. My only hope is that this new owner loves hockey and that although he does not have the money for an NHL team, if this is all he can afford he will treat it as if it was an NHL team (i.e. first class in investment in players, coaches, staff and facilities).

Really makes me wonder about the arena deal. Although the city is very committed to building the new arena, the lease has not been signed yet so the city can still pull out. Brantford has shown to be a great market and will continue to be as the population grows the the lower downtown is developed across the rink. I would hope the new owner does not over play his cards and tries to get an unrealistic lease. I still think the team would be more valuable once the arena deal is finalized. How much would the team had been sold for? 15-20 million?
