We will take a 3rd for him.

He will still likely contribute for someone in a 3rd line role but it’s time to move on from him in STL. It’s extremely annoying how much of a ghost he is for long stretches of time. You won’t notice him at all in at least half the games he plays.

As mediocre as he is the Blues are better off keeping him as a warm body for the rest of the year when two of our better forward prospects are slated to join the team in ‘25-26 and then try dealing him in the offseason. I can’t imagine there’s much of a market for him.

I could see the Leafs being a fit here. Played for our coach previously, we aren’t super deep at LW and could use some depth scoring and someone with a history of playoff success.

He legitimately has needed to be scratched. It's unreasonable for Joseph to have been sitting while Saad takes up space.

That doesn't mean he won't be traded, but this scratch is not a surprise just from a hockey perspective. Don't read into it until a good source has something tangible.
